Today I would like to talk to you about Believin‘ Once again, but in a different sense actually. I’m sure most of you were quite taken back from my blog post yesterday as I try to keep it inspirational and encouraging, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to share a funny story with everyone in hopes of giving them a laugh. It sure was a funny event for me!
But today I am getting back to my usual encouraging, inspirational posts. The photo above is a picture of each side of this two-sided stop sign my grandma bought me from a roadside flea market here – in the great state of Texas, that is! Well, when she brought it back to Missouri, it was just a regular SLOW/STOP sign… I already knew what I wanted to do for the STOP side of it but I had to think a little bit for the SLOW side.
And then it came to me: the song that comes from the band “Journey”( Don’t Stop Believin’) is a favorite song of mine, so I looked at the slow side again and I thought to myself. “JOURNEY SLOW, DON’T STOP BELIEVIN’!” – it was perfect!
Journey Slow…
I’ve talked about how you should journey slow, take your time, enjoy the beauty of God’s creation – which is all over the place. Everywhere you look you can see his glory, in every aspect of nature. But if you turn to the world, as in the cities or countries, you don’t see much of God’s glory in most of the people and that is sad, but it’s true.
Like I always say, though: this is the day that the Lord hath made; it’s good because Jesus is in it! No matter how bad the day may seem or look, it isn’t bad. Because things happen in the day that will make it seem bad, but if you go somewhere way out in the woods and just look around and gaze at the beauty of his creations, you will see how magnificent a day it really is.
Don’t Stop Believin’
I have often discussed believing, my beliefs, and to keep believing. But isn’t there a difference in telling someone to keep believin’ then saying “don’t stop believin’? Because, to tell one to keep believing to me doesn’t have nearly the impact as saying the alternative does. It just feels like people might respond better to being told that, but with how things can often be in this world I know it is easy to get discouraged and disappointed; however, you must keep just keep moving on and don’t stop believin’!
Life is full of many surprises, obstacles, trials, pains heartaches and struggles. But in my life, I’ve been looking back on all those times my family has gone through trials and if there is one thing I remember it is this: No matter how bad the day may have seemed or the trial, God was still there in control, taking care of business, and watching over us giving us comfort and supplying our needs.
Just when you’re on the brink of giving up – that is when God will step in and he will work a tremendous miracle right on time! He doesn’t work on our time, but it is his time which is important! Knowing what is best for us is what he does best! So when times get bad just remember this:
Journey Slow, and Don’t Stop Believin’!!
God bless y’all!
