This is the story of our 1988 Prevost and how it came to be! Let’s begin with describing the photo below. The white 1988 Prevost is our bus we got back in 2011 and the 1981 Eagle is the Heartfelt’s bus (Heartfelt a group of gospel singers).

The Heartfelt’s had come to a church in a town not far from where I lived – and I just had to go! I always loved the tour buses and had to ask if I could have my picture taken by it. I told my grandma and mom that someday I would get one of these buses. Well, as you can see I must of been about 6 or 7 years old when the photo was taken.

Many years passed, struggles, trials and pains in my family’s life – not to mention that we had actually been going through a family crisis when we came to know of this bus.

Let me note that this isn’t our first bus, but considering the last bus had some problems and rust damage that prevented us from going out and ministering like we had planned, this is indeed in a sense our first full functional bus, kind of.

God’s Amazing Grace

Here is how the Lord blessed us with this beautiful Prevost: My mom had just left my family and we were beginning a new year, January of 2011. We had been broken, devastated and trying to keep moving strong financially. We weren’t doing too well either. But we were still moving on. It was about mid-January when this evangelist friend of my family’s knocked on the door. It was cold, damp, and cloudy out. The dogs were barking loudly and my grandma didn’t know who could be visiting us. To her surprise – and ours – as well the evangelist friend of ours, he had good news to bring.

He said he wanted to show us our new bus. Taken back by this, we didn’t know how to digest what was going on. Well, he went on to explain that there was this Prevost up in some small town in the state of Illinois. It was kind of like a repossession and it did need some work. After that, we then told him what had been going on and he prayed with us and sung a song for us.

After many trips back and forth from Illinois to Missouri, we finally had our bus! But it still needed more work and we had to get lots of stuff done to it. It also needed a paint job as well. After more time and more waiting, we finally had our 1988 Prevost! God had blessed us with something so wonderful and unbelievable to us all!

I dreamed it up and had faith – and it came to be!

I believed and now I see!

The year 2011 will always be known as the year of God’s amazing grace to me. He gave us many blessings, I still can’t even comprehend them sometimes. But God is just that good! 2012 started out a little bad but then God turned that around too! I can’t wait for what the year 2013 has for my family and me!

As for me, I will never stop believing and I will continue to  dream as I always have!
