Love & Shame Of America

During the whole ‘unlawful’ ‘legalization’ of ‘Gay Marriage’ (whatever that is) I have seen quite a few people speak the phrase “I’m ashamed of my country” That is a phrase that I have a hard time getting around. I must ask myself, we must all ask ourselves. “Are WE ashamed of our country? Am *I* ashamed of my country?”

grunge_bless_america___precut_png_stock_by_somadjinn-d727784For me, the answer to that question has got to be, ‘Yes’ and ‘No’. I will always have a great love and patriotism for the core values of what America was founded upon, what America used to be. How we once stood up and defended freedom, justice, equality, liberty and all of that good stuff. How we took a stand against terrorism and put an end to it right then and there when it was the darkest times the world had ever seen. How we were that shining city on a hill, a leading example for the world. A place where people looked to for freedom, shelter and a better way of life.

A place where people could actually make something of themselves, not get any benefit under the sun if they came here as an immigrant, but where they could be anything they wanted with hard work and determination. That is what makes me proud to be an American. The men and women before me that actually built this country, instead of just ‘talking’ about building, they actually did. The brave men and women that died defending it’s founding principles to the bitter end. Even if it meant their life, they stood for what was right. Not like us wimps today. So no, I’m very proud of my country. Or well, what it used to be.

I Am Ashamed –

But today, I am very ashamed of what it has become. Of what her people have become. You cannot say “God bless you’ without someone curling up into the fetal position with their feelings hurt. You can’t have Jesus in school because it’s ‘unconstitutional’ so he is removed. Yet when anything goes wrong the first question anyone asks is “Where is God?” the answer to that is that he wasn’t allowed on the premises. Could it of been avoided if he was? That is a high possibility. He does defend his people. Those that call on his name.

What was once unthinkable is now acceptable in many peoples minds and they don’t even care how it affects them or are country. They don’t even care how each so called ‘victory’ in the Democratic party is just another loss for all of us as Americans as far as freedom is concerned. So yes. I am very ashamed at what America has become, because everyone has become a bunch of wimps. I am ashamed of our leaders.

Mothers young sons died fighting for freedoms and religious liberties so we could wimp out. I think not. Christians are too afraid to get political but I believe it is a Christian’s duty to be concerned with these issues. Americans in the beginning dealt with two things very seriously. God and Politics. Many people think the two can’t collide and they are right. In the wrong way they can’t, but in the right way they can.America was based on freedom, morals, values. Ethics. Now we bow down to everyone under the sun.

We are weak and feeble. We have no backbone anymore. We put the desires of other cultures before the founding principles of our own. Our founding Fathers was be sickened with disgust of how weak we have become. Quite frankly, I wouldn’t blame them.

We deserve to be spat on in the face for our ignorance.

In Conclusion:

With that said, what do I believe about Gay Marriage? I believe in what the bible says, (and no, don’t give me that garbage about shrimp being worse then gay marriage. Either you can’t read or you don’t know how the bible defines things) the bible tells us that marriage was a sacred bond created by God. A bond between a man and a woman.

Therefore, I do not believe in ‘Gay Marriage’ nor do I support it. I would not ever vote to make it legal. HOWEVER, this is a big however by the way. I do believe that the STATES have a right to choose whatever it is that they want when it comes to this issue.

I believe as a Christian and a Conservative that these two beliefs are based upon freedom, liberty and free will. You can’t very have freedom, liberty and free will when it is being oppressed. So, while I myself personally do not support the idea of ‘legal’ ‘gay marriage’ I do support a persons right and free will to live however it is that they please. Which means this.

The Supreme Court should not have any right to tell individual states what to do in this matter. If states want to vote for gay Marriage, fine, let them have it. Don’t force them to stop it. If states don’t want it, don’t force them to do it. Simple as that. And lastly. Don’t sue Bakeries, T-Shirt Companies, or Photographers for not participating in the wedding ceremonies because that goes against their ‘religious’ beliefs and that is wrong. Do not make them out to be this awful ‘bigoted’ hateful people when all they are doing is refusing to participate in a gay wedding. After all, it isn’t like they are cutting their heads off or anything. (Oh wait, I’m sorry. That is from places like Saudi Arabia and Sharia Law where that happens. Which happens to be the same location of many well known Liberal owned companies. HA how hypocritical) makes me sick.

Stop being such wussified hypocritcal babies and stand up for what you believe. Not in hate, no. Do it in love. With truth. And with boldness. That’s what it’s going to take. Where we can find common ground, for the sake of ALL our lives and all our freedoms and our country lets find common ground. Lets stand together. Let’s stand strong.

Until next time…

SHALOM –
