Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Whatever time it is wherever you are and whoever you are, I would just like to say to you on this special day… Welcome, welcome to today! Welcome to tomorrow and welcome to the rest of your lives. Last week I mentioned three main blog post topics that I would be releasing soon and this is the first of those three. I hope that it blesses you in some way today.
Cold and bitter was the darkness, where you find yourself all alone and weak trying ever so carefully to quietly weep. It seems as though you have shed your last tear. OH – but what have we here my dear. It seems you’ve shed another tear and another one is drawing near as it sears another one falls, just when you thought you’ve shed them all. You soon find out the teardrops will never end, the pain may never mend, the good might never win. And the world around you begins to spin and spin about, as your head starts to pound and pound…
Until… Until you cannot shed another tear, until you’ve faced your greatest fears. Until you’ve lost track of all the years. And all you have left, is the empty and cold dry seared tears. Life can be an unfortunate event, it can have many unexpected twists and turns from time to time. Unwanted events such as – Trials and Tragedies, Turmoils and Miseries. It’s all a mystery! That is the cycle of life, for a short moment there is pain and then… There is death. But oh! Why? Why must we, such simple-made beings be forced to reckon with such a devastating and treacherous life? What did we do to deserve such despair and emptiness? Are we not worth more than this? Do we not deserve better than pain and death? Have we not paid our dues? Done our good deeds? What is it worth to me to pay my tithes and go to church every Sunday if it’s just going to leave me with the same outcome of pain and death? To what extent will you see my pain?
To What Extent?:
Why should we? Why should we do any good at all if it’s only going to be returned for pain and death? Is that not what life is all about? Karma? Is Karma real? Karma isn’t real. It’s a sham, it’s a fraud. It’s something we tell ourselves to make each other feel better about life, something to help us cope with the pain and death that is to come. Because whether we like it or not that’s what we’ve all got coming to us, pain and death. In some way shape or form. Even Jesus Christ had to face it. So why should we, such lesser beings escape the wrath and fury of life any more than he did? Why? We are not worthy of saving. We do not deserve salvation. We deserve pain and death. We act on one another with immense violence and hatred every single day.
We murder our own by the millions on a daily basis. On the streets of our greatest cities, in gas stations, grocery stores, abortion clinics and across the nation we commit the most unimaginable, unthinkable crimes that could ever be committed. We sit here in our own despair weeping and crying our last dry tear while we try and think up some excuse as to why none of us are deserving of pain and death. And all we can come up with is more dry tears. Because in our hearts, we know. We know above any other living thing in this world, WE are the most deserving of pain and death. If anyone deserves to be wiped off the face of the earth, it is us. We devour each other, spit each other out, devour each other again and then spit that out and feed it to the dogs and then what they don’t want they give to the scavengers of the air. We are pitiful. There is so much hatred, so much pain. So much devastation. So much greed, so much idolatry, so much self absorption to the point that we devalue the lives of others around us. So much to the point where we would look over a passed out man in the middle of a doorway and walk over him rather then helping him back to good health. No, we do not deserve to be spared. Our children hunger, our veterans go without medical care.
The elderly are abused, women are raped and Churches are used as party houses. Mothers abandoning their families, Daddies walking away. What makes this okay? Nothing does. Nothing.
In Conclusion:
We are all worthy of hell-fire and damnation. Eternal damnation. The point is, no matter what we do, no matter how much good we try and do to make up for all the bad. In reality, we could never make amends for all the evil we’ve brought about in this world. It is if we are lost in the darkness forever, unreachable, unable to be saved. But somehow, among it all. Jesus looks down with grace upon us, giving us a final chance. A chance for redemption. A chance for purification and reconciliation with him and with one another. An opportunity to find healing and peace. Because there is more to life than pain and death. There is Joy and Love. There is laughter, there is caring for one another and sharing with one another. There is helping on another and loving one another. Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, tending to the sick and helping those in need. While we are capable of great devastation, we are also just as capable if not even more capable of great compassion. Choose love, choose joy, choose life. Choose the right thing, because it’s all we’ve got left. And one day, the dry tears will be done away with. No more tears, no more pain, no more death. Only Joy, Peace, and Happiness.
However, do not be fooled. Until that day, life as a Christian does not mean pure bliss.
Feelings of pain and heartache are natural, crying out in the darkness of the night until your eyes are full of dry tears is absolutely normal. Just because you come to Christ does not mean you are free from hardships and tragedy. In fact, when you come to Christ is when your hardships and tragedy will truly begin. Because scripture states that we shall be hated among all men for HIS names sake. When we proclaim the name of Jesus we will be mocked, we will be ridiculed, we will be hated. People will not take us seriously, they will laugh at us. But know this. He is with you, he will not forsake you. And when you think you are alone crying those dry tears, you are not. He is right there, holding you in his arms and he will see you through.
He’s the great God Jehovah and he’s looking over from over your shoulder, he can see the end and you will win. He is our provider a strong mighty tower. Much more then our maker. He IS our DEFENSE.
