How are some ways that you might neglect God?

1. Neglecting your bible because of another activity.

2. Video games, perhaps other activities can keep you from spending time with God.

3. Daily life…

What are some ways to not neglect God?

1. Daily Prayer.

2. Just talking to him throughout the day.

3. Studying his word.

Let’s look at what God’s word has to say about

Negligence

Ecclesiastes 9:10 K.J.V.

Whatever we may be doing we are to do these things with everything in us; even if it is just a small chore. Because whatever it is that we do is something BIG in the eyes of God.

Luke 9:62 K.J.V.

What Jesus is saying is that we shouldn’t start something and then look back on what we’ve started instead we must see these things to completion whether it be a job, a chore, your word given to someone or another form of commitment Christ told us that those who look back are not fit for the kingdom of God.

We’re only Human.

People often retaliate with the phrase “I’m only HUMAN” and that may be so, but think of it as this we may be humans that cannot be entirely perfect but using this excuse should only be used to an extent.

Like keeping your word to someone, in this day and time sometimes finding someone to keep their word is like trying to find a needle in a haystack and their most common response is the same old statement that “We’re only Human”

Scripture Verse About Keeping Your Word.

1 John 2:5 K.J.V.

Consequences of Neglecting God’s Word

Scripture Verses:

1 Timothy 2:4 K.J.V.

God’s greatest desire is that all of mankind become saved and are brought to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Timothy 2:15 K.J.V.

By neglecting to study his word we are not only doing harm to our Father in heaven but also to ourselves.

Because without his knowledge we will be damaged and we will soon forget God and the scriptures tell us when we reject knowledge he will also reject us.

Hosea 4:6 K.J.V.

Overcoming Negligence

Fun ways to dive into God’s word so that we don’t stray from the teachings of his knowledge and truth!

1. Pray each night you can.

2. Lend a helping hand.

3. Share his word with others.

4. Just talk to him.

5. Learn his word.

Most importantly though let us not neglect the greatest job as a Christian there is for us to do!

BE A WITNESS!

Neglecting this job may cause us to lose souls to the kingdom of God.

Scripture verse to study throughout the week and memorize:

Colossians 3:23 K.J.V.

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”

God bless y’all!

Sincerely,
