This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. – Psalms 118:24 (KJV)

A New Dawning

Feb
21

It’s a new day, it’s a new beginning, it’s another week and here we are so very lucky to still be at the very early point of this New Year, 201720” being ‘Redemption’ (Biblically) and “17” meaning “Victory”

Anything that happened in the year 2016 that we wish to forget, we CAN forget, we CAN move away from, we CAN walk away from. 2016 was not the end, 2017 is just the beginning. The bible tells us that through Christ, we CAN.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

And not only that, it tells us that through HIM we also have strength. Let me first start this post off by saying this: I just feel led to say this. If you feel you have no hope left, if you feel you have lost your way, if you feel you cannot be saved from this road of destruction and turmoil that you are on. Let me just tell you this, you are wrong. The devil and some people would make you think it’s so hard to be saved, but that’s not true. The scripture says:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 (KJV)

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:10 (KJV)

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 10:11 (KJV)

The scripture tells us to repent, (which means to make reconciliation with God) ask him for forgiveness and turn – WALK away from the things of the past.  The scripture tells us that:

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 (KJV)

If you know in your heart that the word of God is true and pure and perfect, then you must know that his word does not turn void. It is established and it is irrefutable. People may try and discredit it all that they can, but if you have just experienced a miracle in your life or in your spirit or in your day at all. Then you know, you know that he will not lead you wrong. You may not truly believe it in your mind, but in your spirit you know. The scripture tells us that the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Sometimes we let ourselves be consumed with worries and fears and even a little ‘regret’ now and then. But be not dismayed for he is with you, he is leading you and guiding you as we speak and he has carried you through many dangers, toils and snares, you have already come! (As the good old hymnal goes)

Amazing Grace:

How SWEET the SOUND. His Grace IS Sufficient! Now – when you take that very first step and you start serving God you will find many challenges arise. Because the devil don’t bother what he already has, but he will do his hardest to try and get back what God has just taken away. But woah, woah woah! Just hold up there devil, God did not take one thing away from you. He took BACK what you stole from HIM! Hallelujah! Dearly beloved brothers and sisters don’t you think for one second that the devil owns you, because you are God’s now. You have ALWAYS belonged to God, you just lost your way. But now you have found your way back and you are now no longer bound to sin! It no longer has dominion over you! (Romans 6:2, 9) The bible tells us that we are free, we are FREE…

FREE INDEED:

So before we go any further, let’s recap –

  His Grace Is Sufficient!

We Belong To HIM!

We Are FREE!

Sometimes it’s hard to let go of the past, it’s hard to move on. We want to hold on to the life we had, we wanna stay where we felt comfortable. A familiar place where everything went right (or at least appeared to go right) a place in which we find solace. But if we look in the bible we can find that Jesus never stayed in one place more then a few days. He was constantly moving, he would go and preach to the people of each town and they would either LOVE him or HATE him. They would either accept him or refuse him. Now most of us aren’t meant to stay in one place or one situation for too long. There are times in which he has greater plans for us. We may not know why or how we ended up where we are today. We may not understand why it is so hard. We may wonder why it is that things can’t just work out for us, or why we can’t just ‘fit in‘ somewhere.

But we must understand one thing, this world is not our home. We need not get too comfortable. We aren’t meant to LIVE here, we are meant to occupy until he comes. Jesus told us to ‘occupy’ until he comes. (Luke 19:13) We’re all Strangers Here traveling through this world of woe. If we truly put our trust in him, if we truly trust in him at all times and pour out our hearts before him and trust that he is our refuge (Psalms 62:8) then we know that we walk where he would have us to walk and if we aren’t too sure then we must seek him deeper and deeper until we know for sure that we are walking in his will and his truth. And if we are. If we know that we are. We know that all things work together for good to them that love God and to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

In Conclusion:

So let’s STOP. Let’s stop torturing ourselves with the questions that I know many of you must be all too familiar with. It is in our human nature to question what could of been, what should of been. What IF? IF only, ‘IF I would had just done this differently – IF I would have done something else. Could of I? Should Of I?’ No, no no! You are looking at this situation completely wrong my friend. Listen to me very closely, please. You are a child of the living God whom hath given you new life and with new life comes new adventure, new adversities and new places to go. He is guiding you and leading you. Do not look back, do not think back on what could of been or what may. Do not think upon these things because it will only cause you to grow regretful and bitter and your emotions will take over and when we let emotion take over we lose sight of the Kingdom.

The bible tells us to take no thought for our life what we should wear or what we should eat (Matthew 6:25) For the fowls of the air sow and reap not, yet our Father in heaven feeds them. Are we not better than they are? (Matthew 6:26) It goes on to tell us that our heavenly Father knows that we have ‘need’ of these things. But for us to seek first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto us. (Matthew 6:32-33)

We could sit and drive ourselves crazy about what could have been or should of been. But we must not be deceived for he is faithful and he will deliver (2 Thessalonians 3:3) and we are going exactly where he wants us to go. All of the people that you’ve lost touch with along the way, don’t be bitter towards them or angry that they are no longer in your life. God moved them out of your life and put you out of theirs for a reason. You aren’t going the same way that they are going and he has greater plans for us than we could ever even begin to imagine. So… Until next time my friends, May God bless you and keep you, May God make his face shine upon you, May he lift his countenance upon you and may he give you…

Moving Forward…

May

Over the years, there has most definitely been a lot of difficulty and hardships in mine and my family’s life, we have had to endure some really hard times.

iStock_000001827245SmallThere have been moments where it felt as if we just couldn’t continue on anymore, where we have been hurt so brutally and scared so badly that all we wished is to move away and start somewhere new, and who knows. Perhaps we might still do that, not saying that is what I want at the moment the only thing that I want anymore is the will of God for my life and that is what my Family has always wanted, we have always made sure to the best of our own ability that God was in our decisions so that we wouldn’t mess up.

However there are certainly times when we messed up, there are events in our life that we cannot go back and change, however I don’t know anymore, did we really mess up? Or were we and have we really been in God’s will all along, you see I constantly say that you can’t live and have regrets, IF you prayed for God’s will, because if you are 100% certain that it was his desire for you and also IF you are 100% certain that what you did was good, then why would you regret something like that?

We can’t go back in the past with a time machine, it is too unrealistic, so I believe it is important that we realize one thing and we must realize it right now in our life or else we live with guilt, shame, depression and regret and that isn’t how anyone should live. I don’t believe in saying that I should not have done it or I should not have done this, because by living like that then I am saying that by being kind, by doing what God would have had me to do and by being in his perfect will I was wrong.

He Knows ALL:

If I’ve said it once I have said it a million times, God is the all-knowing all-powerful wonderful and magnificent creator of all things, of all this world and of all creation. He is not the author of confusion and he would not lead us down a path that we should ever regret, there may be times where we might should of done things a little bit differently, but when we are letting God lead us then we can not expect that things won’t go wrong every now and then, we shouldn’t expect to say ‘God lead me’ and everything turn out all fine and dandy, that’s not how it works.

Reminds me of that commercial about car insurance where the two old ladies are talking to each other and the other one is standing in the middle and the woman is hanging pictures on her wall while one lady on the couch says I like that one and then the elderly woman in the middle says something like that isn’t how it works’ then the woman turns and says “I unfriend you” and the lady just stands there shaking her head saying that’s not how it works that is not how any of this works.

It isn’t how it works, it works God’s way and we have to be willing to trust that he will lead us through all of the bad times just as he brought us to the good times because if we don’t then we for sure don’t have a chance making it on our own, every decision we make can alter our life dramatically and we don’t even pay that much attention to it, however if we are allowing God to lead and guide us then we might just make it out of this life alive, wait a second we actually will make it out of this life alive, because Christ came to bring LIFE.

In Conclusion:

My dear friends, we must continue moving forward for the betterment of God’s Kingdom, we can not allow ourselves to be trampled and run over with the hurt and the pain of regret, we may have pain and we may be hurt from all the bad that has happened in our lives, and right now I may still feel some of it from how our lives were dramatically changed in 2010 when my mom walked out the door and left, then by being crushed and destroyed inside by her yet another time. But I do not constantly dwell on these things, I do not allow myself to be consumed in it, I take my periods of grieving and mourning and then I am back to my regular self because if I don’t then I can’t be who I need to be for God.

And do I wish things were different? Sometimes I do, but then I have to stop myself from thinking that way, because I am a strong believer that God does everything for a reason and a purpose, or I should say that everything happens for that reason and that purpose, because everything that we might have going on in our life isn’t caused by God, however it can still very well be his will and plan for us and he allows us to suffer some pain because he knows he is able to bring good out of the most unthinkable places.

I am glad that I am where I am, I am thankful to know the people that I now know because of where God has brought me from, I know that if I had not gone through what I did then I would not be where I am and I would not get to have the joy of knowing such amazing new people in my life that have made a big impact on my heart, so continue strongly and courageously in Christ my fellow brethren, do not be afraid.

Until next time…
