I’m Not Perfect

Jul
21

We must all come to the realization that we aren’t the best that we can or even should be. There are small little imperfections about us that we cannot fix and other things that could do with some improvement. However, no matter what we must learn that we are not the most perfect human beings that have ever walked the face of the earth, we may be smart and know a lot, but we still have much left to learn.

tumblr_m7sr5oeuZ71r71r40o1_500I wrote one week about how we all have our own shoes to fill, you see. While some people sit on their high horse and look down upon on others as if they are mere lowly peasants not worth anyone’s time of day. They have a story, they have a heart, they have mind and a soul and they have emotion. Humans is what they are, humans like you and me, they aren’t perfect, some may not be so great with Math, while others may not be so good at grammar. Or perhaps they cannot even write or read at all, is that any cause to make fun of them, is that any reason? I think not. You see, we often forget that we ourselves at one point did not know the things we knew, maybe we were completely ignorant to everything we know now. But maybe, just maybe, someone took the time to share their expertise with us. Instead of shaming us into thinking we are nothing, instead of making cruel jokes and saying bad things about us without actually saying them.

Perhaps instead of saying those cruel comments out loud at all? I guess there will always be those who try and make us feel lowly of ourselves. I suppose that there will always be critiques. But we don’t have to allow those criticisms to get us down, as matter of fact, we don’t even have to let it be criticism at all. We can flip flop something around that was meant to be bad, and we can make it into a beautiful like transformation. Let’s not allow others to break us, let’s let them help to make us. That’s what I always say, lets rise high above our normal comfort zone. And let’s all try to be a little better than we normally are, let us not allow our imperfection’s to weaken us or prohibit us from achieving our dreams and for sure let’s not allow cruel comments to crush our self-esteem. Because we know in our hearts who we are, and we know that we do the best we can.

Do Your BEST – Leave the REST

Sometimes all you can do is the best that you can do, “Do your best and leave the rest, and hope to pass the test.” That’s another little quote that I always say, something I combined from the old ‘Black Beauty’ movie and my own thoughts during the time that my Mother had left back in 2011. It’s still something that I tell myself to this very day, because all you can ever do is the best that you can do and if you still end up getting burned in the process, then at least you tried. That’s bound to count for something isn’t it? Well, who knows it does, right? Maybe we are all just really that bad at being decent humans, or maybe others are really that bad at being good friends in this life. Or what if it’s a little of both? I think it is, even when we give it our absolute best, we will still make mistakes both big and small and that’s just a fact of life.

No matter how good we get at something, there is always going to be someone better than us at it, and that is perfectly fine because it is only another small fact of life. That should only make us want to try harder at what we do, so we can keep improving in our work or passion, and maybe we could even learn from those better than us. I mean after all, they didn’t get to be so good by being jealous of someone’s talent did they? They couldn’t have, they stepped up to the plate and became better instead of bitter and now we are back to that. That is the key no matter where we go, whether it come to getting cut off in traffic or finding out that someone may be better at something than you are, the key is to be better instead of bitter.

In Conclusion:

As Christian’s we know that we aren’t perfect, we are only human, but we also know that being human is no excuse to sin willfully and we also know that because we are mere humans with many weaknesses (imperfect in many ways) we are forgiven by God of all the things that we have ever done or may do ‘unknowingly’ in the future. Because that is just how loving and amazing Jesus Christ is, he is holy and he is just, he loves with such an amazing love and he judges with a mighty hand of glory and of power because he is full of righteousness beyond our imagination.

Remember this the next time you see someone sitting on their high horse judging others for every little imperfection, or remember this the next time YOU, yourself start to do the same to others. The murder deserves punishment, the thief deserves just punishment as does the drunkard and the alcoholic and the adulterer and the fornicator and the bully. And you get the picture I’m sure, we all have a big something or a little something that deems us worthy of hell. We have ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and though it can be easy at times to become quickly angered at others hypocrisy and though they are justly deserving of unmerciful punishment – we can’t forget. SO ARE WE. While sins are different in a legal sense, they are the same in an eternal sense, meaning that if we are to continue in our sins willfully then… The punishment is death and separation from God. For.. Eternity. And because we all have had our fair share of sins, this makes us JUST as deserving of unmerciful punishment as it does anyone else who has.

Thank you for reading today’s post, until next time my dear friends, I pray that you have a very blessed with many moments of great love, joy, laughter and…

Children & The Corn

Jul
14

Don’t get it twisted just yet my friends, at least listen to what I have to say first. However, before I get into that, why not a short word of inspiration? When people tell you that you can’t, show them that you can. When they tell you that you won’t, show them that you most definitely will and lastly. If people tell you that you will never, show them that you will never let them be right no matter what it takes.

CornA long time ago, back in the day. When I was but a wee lil’ lad, I did something really stupid. Haven’t we all? It was the summer of the year 2000 something (which we are still living in, for anyone confused) and I had just went outside to play with another member of my family and a neighbor friend that we had invited over, my grandma and my mom were gone and my grandpa was the only left at home to watch us. He was in his bedroom, most likely taking a nap. When all of a sudden, we decided to go and play in the garden, well isn’t that a bright idea? I remember standing next to the corn stalk’s, I must of only been 4 1/2 feet tall and they were almost as tall as me so they must not have been that tall yet. I believe we were playing cops and robbers, I even had a toy dispatch radio.

As we were playing, I started getting tired and wanted to rest for a moment, but my younger family member started pulling on me and I decided to grad a hold of the corn. The constant tugging at it eventually caused it to become uprooted, I stood there for a few minutes in shock while holding the ripped up stalk in my hand. I heard my grandpa come outside, he must of heard all the ruckus and woke up from his nap to see what was going on. My family member told me that I was in trouble, our neighbor just stood there for a moment in the garden until my grandpa got there and seen what had happened, I have to say. He wasn’t too happy about me pulling up one of his corn stalks that my grandma and him had put so much time and effort in to grow, let’s just say that I learned a lesson that day and a lesson that has stayed with me even to this day.

Parents – God – Children – Corn

So, by now I bet you are wondering, “how does this tie into children?” Well, let me explain. It took my grandparents a whole lot of hard work, time and effort in growing that corn. First, the ground had to be tilled and then the seed had to be planted, it had to be covered up with a gardening hoe. Watered, weeded and nurtured for quite a long time to get it as big as it was. Only to be uprooted as if it was all done in vain, for nothing. It couldn’t bare any food anymore and there was no way of getting it deeply rooted again as it was once before, it seems as though it was lost forever. In the same way that an uprooted corn stalk can upset a person that values their garden a lot, having a child become uprooted from everything that a parent has taught them and raised them on their whole life can also very easily be upsetting for that parent.

It didn’t take them over night to get their child so deeply rooted in such a strong solid foundation, or well at least what they thought was a rock solid foundation. So why is it that many times parent’s children can become so easily uprooted almost over night as if they were never rooted at all? Temptation, tugging perhaps. The enemy will come and no matter how deeply rooted parent’s may think that their children are mentally, and even spiritually. If they aren’t fully committed to the will of God, then they will be easily taken down by the tugs of the enemy and like the man that build his house on sand, they will come crashing down.

In Conclusion:

Really all there is that we can do is pray. It may not seem like a whole lot, but it really is more than we could ever imagine, because it is true that prayer changes things. It is true that with faith and prayer, what once seemed like a terrible tragedy, can be turned around in to something so much greater than we could have ever thought. Continuously nurture your corn, water it, weed it, help it to grow as strong as it can be. Help it to be as deeply rooted as possible, so that no matter how strong the wind is, it won’t be able to blow it down. And no matter how rough the enemy comes in tugging, they won’t be able to pull it up. It’s not going to be an easy task and I for one am not one to give too much expertise on such issues, however. I must say. With God, it most certainly will not be impossible.

So you see my friends. It appears that the title should make some type of sense now, shouldn’t it? I know that some may have gotten the wrong impression at first glance, but believe you me. That was not my intentions. My only intentions is to help people see a great message of inspiration each time I share something on here, and while there may be times that I become weary and discouraged with everything. I know that with God ALL things are possible and I keep trusting in him for inspiration and he just keeps right on giving it to me.

I hope you liked today’s post and until next time…

The God Of The Mountain

Jul
07

In your walk with Christ you will face many ups and many downs. The ups will always be far greater then your downs, however the downs will likely be more often then your ups. That is the way it goes. I have seen multiple times in my life and in my family’s life where the same God was with us through both.

11117654_1169356379756542_1243764855_nHow is it possible that the same God who ‘allows’ such pain and misery is indeed the SAME God during our good times of love and peace? Because surely no ‘good’ God would ever let any harm come upon us now would he? And if it does, if we were to ever face any hardships in our life then we must not be living for God good enough now are we? If we hadn’t of missed church last Sunday or if we had been going to church more altogether. If we had been doing this, if we had been doing that. What if we had been going to church all of our lives? What if we had served God with all our heart, all our lives? What if we hadn’t of? What if we had of just died when we were laying on the death bed, gasping for air? As I have heard my favorite TV Minister Character (Rev. Eric Camden from my Fav show, 7th Heaven) I have to say.

We can’t play ‘What If’, we can only deal with ‘What Is’ and what is, is this. The Bible tells us, Jesus Christ himself tells us that if wechoose to follow him,we MUST be willing to count the cost. Because there IS a cost that we will pay, DAILY for serving him, for claiming to live in HIM. Too often ministers today try and paint ‘The Christian Life’ as this glamorous lifestyle. One where you never do any work and everything gets handed to you on a gold platter and a velvet pillow. But that isn’t true. Another saying from one of my other ‘real’ favorite TV Ministers, (Billy Graham) is this. (And I am certain I’ve repeated this before, because it’s true.)

“Salvation is free, but discipleship costs everything.” – Rev. Billy Graham

The way of righteousness is straight and narrow is the gate, but the way of hell is broad and wide and it leads to destruction.

He Is Still God In The Valley –

When times are rough, it is often hard to believe that someone really is up there looking out for you. But we must not forget, he is still God of the valley. The same God that was with you when you landed that big real estate deal, he’s the same God with you now while you struggle to pay your bills. Don’t doubt God. While questioning and reasoning is OK and most certainly natural, don’t even do that. Just Believe. Have Faith. He will bring you through, it will be alright. It may be hard to see the brighter side of your situation right now, but believe me when I tell you this. There is a brighter side to every dark day. And most likely, it isn’t too far away. All you need to do is keep holding on.

“Don’t give up, it’s worth it. Just keep trying.” – Obama

(Yes, I quoted the big O’)

It’s like a little light in a huge dark room. It’s not bright enough to light your entire way. Though it is just enough brightness to light up enough ahead of you so you can see your way through. Don’t worry about what is behind you, don’t worry about what is ahead of, just look beside you and God will be there. He’s guarding you from the front, he’s walking beside you and he’s trusting that you’ll never look back. Whoever puts their hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God. In the Christian walk we will be given many mountains to climb, (many plows to put our hands to) we must never look back, because each step we take is one less step to glory and one more step from hell. So there is no point in looking back, by the time we reach the top, even though we must go back down. It’s still to far to look back.

In Conclusion:

After each mountain, there will always be another valley and after each valley, there will always be another mountain. Back when I was still struggling with the pain from my mom in 2010, I wrote this short piece about ‘The Christian Life’ it isn’t anything of great extravagance, but it is something of significance.

“With every sorrow there is a joy. With every valley there is a hill. But with every joy there is a sorrow. And with every hill there is a valley. The life of a Christian is not easy. You follow a path that winds through the darkest places only to come out in the brightest of all, then to go back down into the darkest pit only to rise on the highest mountain.” – Nathan Tune

So keep walking my friends, keep climbing. Keep struggling, keep pursuing, keep persevering. Keep fighting the good fight. Keep letting your light shine. Keep rocking on, and keep moving on. Keep your held high and your spirits held higher. Keep your eyes on Christ and your mind on truth. Keep your heart on love and your feet on the rock. Keep picking up your cross, daily.

Love & Shame Of America

Jun
27

During the whole ‘unlawful’ ‘legalization’ of ‘Gay Marriage’ (whatever that is) I have seen quite a few people speak the phrase “I’m ashamed of my country” That is a phrase that I have a hard time getting around. I must ask myself, we must all ask ourselves. “Are WE ashamed of our country? Am *I* ashamed of my country?”

grunge_bless_america___precut_png_stock_by_somadjinn-d727784For me, the answer to that question has got to be, ‘Yes’ and ‘No’. I will always have a great love and patriotism for the core values of what America was founded upon, what America used to be. How we once stood up and defended freedom, justice, equality, liberty and all of that good stuff. How we took a stand against terrorism and put an end to it right then and there when it was the darkest times the world had ever seen. How we were that shining city on a hill, a leading example for the world. A place where people looked to for freedom, shelter and a better way of life.

A place where people could actually make something of themselves, not get any benefit under the sun if they came here as an immigrant, but where they could be anything they wanted with hard work and determination. That is what makes me proud to be an American. The men and women before me that actually built this country, instead of just ‘talking’ about building, they actually did. The brave men and women that died defending it’s founding principles to the bitter end. Even if it meant their life, they stood for what was right. Not like us wimps today. So no, I’m very proud of my country. Or well, what it used to be.

I Am Ashamed –

But today, I am very ashamed of what it has become. Of what her people have become. You cannot say “God bless you’ without someone curling up into the fetal position with their feelings hurt. You can’t have Jesus in school because it’s ‘unconstitutional’ so he is removed. Yet when anything goes wrong the first question anyone asks is “Where is God?” the answer to that is that he wasn’t allowed on the premises. Could it of been avoided if he was? That is a high possibility. He does defend his people. Those that call on his name.

What was once unthinkable is now acceptable in many peoples minds and they don’t even care how it affects them or are country. They don’t even care how each so called ‘victory’ in the Democratic party is just another loss for all of us as Americans as far as freedom is concerned. So yes. I am very ashamed at what America has become, because everyone has become a bunch of wimps. I am ashamed of our leaders.

Mothers young sons died fighting for freedoms and religious liberties so we could wimp out. I think not. Christians are too afraid to get political but I believe it is a Christian’s duty to be concerned with these issues. Americans in the beginning dealt with two things very seriously. God and Politics. Many people think the two can’t collide and they are right. In the wrong way they can’t, but in the right way they can.America was based on freedom, morals, values. Ethics. Now we bow down to everyone under the sun.

We are weak and feeble. We have no backbone anymore. We put the desires of other cultures before the founding principles of our own. Our founding Fathers was be sickened with disgust of how weak we have become. Quite frankly, I wouldn’t blame them.

We deserve to be spat on in the face for our ignorance.

In Conclusion:

With that said, what do I believe about Gay Marriage? I believe in what the bible says, (and no, don’t give me that garbage about shrimp being worse then gay marriage. Either you can’t read or you don’t know how the bible defines things) the bible tells us that marriage was a sacred bond created by God. A bond between a man and a woman.

Therefore, I do not believe in ‘Gay Marriage’ nor do I support it. I would not ever vote to make it legal. HOWEVER, this is a big however by the way. I do believe that the STATES have a right to choose whatever it is that they want when it comes to this issue.

I believe as a Christian and a Conservative that these two beliefs are based upon freedom, liberty and free will. You can’t very have freedom, liberty and free will when it is being oppressed. So, while I myself personally do not support the idea of ‘legal’ ‘gay marriage’ I do support a persons right and free will to live however it is that they please. Which means this.

The Supreme Court should not have any right to tell individual states what to do in this matter. If states want to vote for gay Marriage, fine, let them have it. Don’t force them to stop it. If states don’t want it, don’t force them to do it. Simple as that. And lastly. Don’t sue Bakeries, T-Shirt Companies, or Photographers for not participating in the wedding ceremonies because that goes against their ‘religious’ beliefs and that is wrong. Do not make them out to be this awful ‘bigoted’ hateful people when all they are doing is refusing to participate in a gay wedding. After all, it isn’t like they are cutting their heads off or anything. (Oh wait, I’m sorry. That is from places like Saudi Arabia and Sharia Law where that happens. Which happens to be the same location of many well known Liberal owned companies. HA how hypocritical) makes me sick.

Stop being such wussified hypocritcal babies and stand up for what you believe. Not in hate, no. Do it in love. With truth. And with boldness. That’s what it’s going to take. Where we can find common ground, for the sake of ALL our lives and all our freedoms and our country lets find common ground. Lets stand together. Let’s stand strong.

Until next time…

The Best Job

Jun
16

Those of you that have followed me since I started this blog, you know that I have struggled since the day we moved here to get a job. It has taken me almost 3 years, but finally I have got a job. Not just any job though, the job that I have wanted since the day we first moved here.

philadelphia-movie-theaters1

I do not know what it is that I have felt a pulling to this place since the first day I saw it, but I have. As soon as I got settled in to our new home, I began calling to see if they would be hiring. The first minute that they were I went to them and got an application and filled it out and even landed an interview. However, I did not land the job that time. I was quite discouraged, but I continued on looking for a job anyways. I just could not understand and I still can not understand why it is that everywhere I went I could not get a job no matter how hard it is that I tried.

I went dressed up, I went dressed down. I wore casual, business casual, suits, ties, no tie, my shirt tucked in. You name it, I tried it. I searched for a job within a 50 plus mile radius from our home and at all manner of places. I tried “Whataburger, Mcdonalds, Pizza Hut, Dollar General, Family Dollar, local grocery stores.” Anywhere and everywhere that I thought I could work, I put in an application. Though I did make a few exceptions. I would not put in an application at Wal-Mart, Kroger, Walgreens or even CVS Pharmacy (it was called CVS Pharmacy when I was applying) because I would not and will not sell people Alcohol or Cigarettes, I can not consciously sell people something that I believe is wrong in a moral and health matter. CVS Pharmacy may have stopped selling Cigarettes and now they call themselves ‘CVS Health’ but they still sell alcoholic beverages, such as beer, which can be very bad for ones liver, it has nothing to do with health.

All In Due Time –

After much prayer, much fasting and much effort in searching for a job. I finally decided to just give up the search and do my best to help my Grandparents with what I could and after awhile I got back in to searching and then I just stopped again. Then one day, I was riding home with my Uncle from another little town not far from us, where we had just seen the movie called “Home” for whatever reason I felt urged to stop by our local movie theater to see if they were hiring and to pick up an application, I do not know why. But I do as I feel led. We pulled up in there and I asked them if they were, it turns out that they were. I filled in another application and turned it in the next day, I did a check up on it the next week or so and then the day after that I got an interview.

After my interview, I did a few more check up calls, I really was interested in the job. I wanted that to be shown as much as possible. After all, I’ve been really interested in a job there since the day we first moved here. (That’s right, this is the job that i’ve felt pulled to since day one) Why it is that I could not get a job there sooner I do not know, but what I do know is that God always has his reasoning’s, he always has his purpose. He always has his perfect timing. We may not know when, we may not know why. And we may not know how, we may never know. But we do know that all things work together for the good to them that love God.

In Conclusion:

It was Monday, May 25th. Memorial Day, I had just finished taking some burgers off the grill and I was making lunch. I had already given up on actually getting the job, because I did not get a call when I thought I would. So I was very surprised to receive a call that day. I got the job! With what seemed like only moments after that, a tornado came through and really tore up the town. I wasn’t able to go pick up my paper work to fill out until a few days after, and I started Monday the 1st of June. I have to say that this job is actually everything I imagined it would be and much more, if I was talking about you I would say that it’s an “OK” job. But I’m not talking about you, I’m talking about me and this is what I think.

I believe it is the best job ever. For me. I love the clean up of theater rooms after each of the shows, and I love the cleaning in general. I love the people, I love serving the people and I love seeing their reactions to the films when they come out of one and I just love everything about the environment. Some people may think I’m completely insane, and that’s OK. I don’t mind, It wouldn’t be the first time that someone questioned my sanity. I really do enjoy every little aspect of this job, I’m still new, I’ve still got much to learn and I will continue giving my best because I hope to work here for a really long time. As long as possible. I drive to and from work with a great big smile on my face.

The best job is not necessarily the one that pays the most, or one that has the most benefits. But it’s one that you benefit from the most personally. One that you are passionate about, one that makes you truly happy. That’s the best job. All of my co-workers and managers are great, they help me out really well. They teach me with good patience and they are understanding and everyone is fantastic. I am really glad to have been blessed with such a wonderful work place. I do not know what else God may have in store for me in the future, but until then. I’m going to keep doing my best while hoping for the best. Thank you for reading this post today.

Enjoy The Show!

Travelin’ On…

Jun
04

Hello everyone, I titled this post “Travelin’ On” however, I do not know entirely what I am going to say on the subject and please let me warn you ahead of time that I may stray away from topic here and there, I just needed a nice little title for the post so I thought that the one above was a perfect fit. You see, it becomes ever more difficult to find inspiration to give inspiration, to be an inspiration!

airplane-wallpaper-3I am often weary from thinking of what to write next even though I try my hardest to keep these posts scheduled way ahead of time so in a sense I am working each day to travel on with this blogging mission that I have taken upon myself, I do enjoy writing and posting what it is that God has given to, and I love reading all the feedback that I get whether it be negative or positive (though the positives always outweigh the negative) I enjoy being able to shed some kind of light in someones darkest hour and I love to bring hope to the world in some way each day that passes us by. Because I know that there are so many who doesn’t feel as though they can continue traveling on, as matter of fact they feel as though they might have hit their limit, ran their last mile, spent their last ounce of strength and lost their last drop of fuel to get them through.

This may be true for some, however, I am here to say otherwise. It’s my job now isn’t it? Otherwise. There, I said it. You heard me, yes that is correct. OTHERWISE. Otherwise what? OK, how about this. What if you haven’t spent your last ounce of strength or your last drop of fuel, what if you are seconds away from a pit stop and if you give up now you will feel so foolish when you could have gone a few more steps ahead and rejuvenated yourself to keep moving on, but instead you gave up because you didn’t think you could go on any further. When in reality, God had otherwise planned, there was a way, there is always a way. We must find a way to make a way to live the way.

Hold On –

Keep holding on no matter what, we know that it is hard, we know that it isn’t easy, we know that things can become tiresome from time to time but we must not forget to keep holding on to our faith, to hope. Because there most certainly is hope, there always is hope my friends, when we least expect it, hope comes around the corner and slaps us in the face with a wake up call and we are amazed at the way things start to turn. Because when we thought about stopping only seconds from a pit stop, we didn’t, we kept going, we got a rejuvenation and went back out there until our next checkpoint and we kept going.

Along the way we may have faced some dark valleys, some mountains and some storms, we may have had to endure freezing temps and brutal heat waves, we may have had to endure slippery slopes and rugged hills that were almost too hard to get over but by the grace of God we made it and we continue to each day.

In Conclusion:

In the words of one of my favorite TV Ministers of all this world, though he’s not a real Minister at all, rather just a Character from one of my favorite TV Shows called “7th Heaven” he most certainly was an amazing Pastor in the show, and though the man that had the honor and privilege to play the role of “Reverend Eric Camden” has recently had some bad stuff come upon him from some awful things he did in the past. The Character is still the character and the character is amazing.

“You live, you learn, you learn to cope.” – Reverend Eric Camden

And that is so true, in this life we all go through hard times in the struggle we pray for a life line, needing someone to show us the way but we’ve got to have faith. We must continuously grow stronger in our faith each day, because God is our mighty defender.

Thank you for all who have read, may it have blessed you in some way. (Rev. Camden’s quote may have been slightly paraphrased for the sake of not being able to find the actual quote and not being able to remember it fully)

God Bless The Police

Jun
02

I do not intend for today’s post to be as long as usual, however I never intend for them to be that long so we will just have to see how it goes, the title I’ve chosen is chosen from the recent turmoil in U.S. Cities such as, Ferguson, and Baltimore, where hate towards those who put their life on the line for our protection has been rising more rapidly than I would like to admit, my friends.

police_tape_ss_img_3I remember as a kid that I would always be very loving and respecting of all police officers, whether they were a city cop, deputy, state trooper or whatever, I had great respect for them because I knew at such a young age and understood what type of job it is that they had. Their job is to die defending the law, criminals may die from time to time and in many incidents it is a sad sight to see, however it is a great difference in dying while defending the law and dying while breaking it, I’m here today to tell you that cops lives matter very much. Everyone wants them to go away but no matter how horrible we may treat them at times and no matter how tough the job can get, they keep right on protecting and serving, that is the job.

Is this to say that there are NO bad cops out there? No, absolutely not, that is not what I am saying. However we must remember that there are bad apples on every tree, it’s just a fact of life, you can live in the sweetest universe you can think of and i guarantee you will have some type of villain out there trying to ruin everything, like look at the old “My Little Pony” cartoon, even those folks in a land of puff and fluff had to face their enemies. We know that there will be bad cops, I have seen them myself, but that still does not change my opinion about police officers, nor does it take away my respect, it angers me to see bad cops making a bad impression on all the good cops just as it angers me seeing bad Christians making bad impressions on those who really put their hand to the plow without looking back.

Blessed Are The Peace Makers –

Jesus tells us in the Bible that the peacemakers are blessed, and that is true, and police officer are peacemakers, that is their main job in law enforcement. To help keep the peace, to maintain all situations so things do not escalate out of control and to keep us all from being seriously hurt.

Scripture:

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9 KJV

A poem I have written in honor of all the brave men and women that serve us every day and that deserve our respect.

He’s a young man, she’s a young girl, she’s a sister, he’s a brother, he’s a father, she’s a mother, they’ve got sons and daughters and their someone’s son and someone’s daughter too.

Out the door they go with a badge pinned on their chest, keeping their head up high putting their own life on the line. They do it every day and we don’t even bother to say thanks, most of the time.

To the mother, to the brother, to the daughter and to the father, to the son and the sister, to the families and to the giver, to the one who puts their own life on the line, you’re one of a kind.

What you do it ain’t easy, you knew that from the start, you’re judged on every little move you make and there’s so many that may hate but I hope you know that no matter what, we thank you, we thank you for your service, we thank you for your courage, we thank you for protecting us when no one else was. We thank you for keeping the peace and if I could real quick please, God bless the police.

Now it may seem like you are unappreciated, and it may feel like you’re not wanted, and maybe in some cases that’s true, but please don’t let that get to you, don’t lose your care and your love, because you are still needed and what a few folks say don’t count. So please dear police, don’t leave us now.

God bless you.

No conclusion for today’s post, that is all. Thank you for reading and I hope that it has blessed you in some special way, always keep in mind that when in doubt, do not pout, God will pull you out somehow. Until next time…

Hate – Fluff & The Bible

May
26

Life is like a chocolate cream filled Donut, if you cut it open in half, it can then be divided into two sides. Each side being what man considers to be right and wrong. However, it appears that there is still the cream to be dealt with. What is the cream? The cream is the truth, and the truth will forever abide.

The Bible can be used for many things, comfort, peace, joy, relief. Something to help you cope with life or something to help you merely get by when things aren’t going the way you planned. You can use it to beat people down, or use it to raise them up. It can be used to fool people and it can be used to hurt people. Sometimes that hurt can be intentional, other times it isn’t completely intentional or it may not even be intentional at all. The Bible can make people cry tears of pain or laugh, laughs of mockery. Or it can make them cry tears of joy and sorrow for Christ’s death and laugh laughs of bubbling joy that only comes from the Spirit of God.

The Bible can be dangerous to the soul when interpreted the wrong way or it can be wondrous to the soul when spoken in it’s full truth. It can either be used to hate everything and everyone to hell, or love everything and everyone to hell. Or it can be used to love people with true love, with truth and boldness for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ultimately, the choice is left up entirely to us. Whether we decide to make the right one is another story. Let us not forget, the side of truth will always reign most high above all else. So let us stand for truth, let us teach truth and let us defend TRUTH.

There Is An Equal Balance –

I am constantly telling everyone I know that there IS an equal balance to the scriptures. You see, most Christian’s today either want to be so strict that they almost choke themselves off from God and others with rules, or they are so filled with a wishy washy lovey dubby love that they fall into the trap of using ‘grace’ as an excuse to sin. And neither of those are good ways to lead a walk with God, The Almighty. I see so much HATE today, whether it’s angry Christian’s or angry gay’s or angry atheists it does not make no difference. Hate is hate. If the Christian’s hold up a sign saying that “God Hates Gay People” then the atheists and gays are most likely to retaliate with an even bigger sign saying that “God Hate’s Signs” or “F*** this guy.”

But don’t get me wrong, the tables can turn and the events can go both ways. Gays and atheists can hold up their signs of hate to Christian’s and Christian’s have been known to retaliate right back in the same hateful ways, which in turn continues to feed into a never ending cycle of ‘fueling fire with fire.’ When will it end? Is it at all possible that we could BOTH just once stop trying to solve our problems with HATE and instead in turn try and actually LISTEN to one another? Will we agree? Probably not, but what is the point of hating? Where is that getting us? But let us not confuse HATE with TRUTH or strong held beliefs.

The Bible Speaks Truth –

As a Christian, I believe every single word of the bible. I will admit that there are many things I have yet to understand and many more things that I may never understand in this life, however. That is just fine. You know why? Not once in the scripture did Christ tell me that I MUST understand everything, rather he said this.

Scripture Verse:

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. – Mark 16:31 KJV

(I got that from one of Rev. Billy Graham’s old sermons.) A very smart and anointed man he is, and his son is stepping into his line of work just fine. Many times he is criticized for spewing ‘hate’ when in reality all he is doing is professing his faith, now what exactly is it any good to the world for a ‘Christian’ to not believe what he says he believes? Or even better, for a ‘Christian’ not to actually go out and ‘PRACTICE’ what he preaches. I mean, isn’t this the cause of us getting so harshly judged for by the left, is us not being ‘Christian’ enough? Yet, for whatever reason. When we actually DO show our faith, the liberal media and angry atheist’s just go into a wild frenzy making accusations of us ‘spewing hate’.

Scripture Verse:

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? – Galatians 4:16 KJV

Well, I guess I am. And I would much rather be the enemy of MAN than be the enemy of an all powerful, all knowing and all seeing Almighty God. There are those among us in the church world today that do not believe we should call out sin in the church or in the world when we see it. They tell us that is not biblical, it’s judgmental. “You can’t judge other people’s convictions. We have ALL sinned and all have fallen short.” Yes, yes we have. However, we are meant to be free now. I have no problem with people falling in their walk with Christ ‘occasionally’ (meaning rarely) we are all prone to that, it is our human nature. However, our human nature is NO excuse to continue on in a willful sin. Just as Grace is no excuse either.

In Conclusion:

The lesson to be learned is this, be very wise in how you use your bible. Because there is only one right way to use it, but many wrong ways. And it can be so easy to use his word as an excuse and even easier to use it to hurt people. Using it as an excuse to sin is just as bad or worse than those who use it to torment people and crucify others and judge them in an unrighteous fashion. What may seem right can many times be wrong and what may seem wrong can be wrong.

However, there is indeed an equal balance to the scripture. We must not love or beat others to hell, and we cannot speak so softly that our words are misunderstood or so loudly that we scare everyone away. Rather we need to present his word and his truth with utmost sincerity, utmost love and utmost dedication to the cause of holiness and truth. Because even though the bible can be used for many things, it’s one true purpose is to guide people, to teach people.

To lead them to the truth of salvation and holiness, to lead them to God. Christ. I hope you enjoyed today’s blog post and until next time let me wish you a blessed day.

Trust God – Truck On

May
21

In life, we find out slowly and painfully how easy it is for others to manipulate. Whether it is us or someone else, it does not seem to be of any significance. They will still manipulate and use whoever it is that they can for their own selfish purpose. But it leaves us to ask a simple, yet profound question. Why? Why would anyone so carelessly and intentionally hurt someone that they SAY they care about?

Semi truck barreling down highwayI do not have the full answer to that question. I have many opinions as to why some people may act that way, but in different situations it is hard to tell. There may be incidents where people gain great joy and pleasure from gaining ones trust and then crushing them into the ground with it, ever so harshly. As if they never had a care at all for said person. If you really think about it, maybe they really didn’t at all. Perhaps they just pretended to be your friend for as long as they need to until they got you to give them exactly what it was they needed from you. Or maybe they did care, but somewhere along the way, they became lost. Lost to the person that they once were in the past, because of greed or pride or whatever. Does it really make a difference?

Either way it still stings terribly in the end doesn’t it? So why do we so foolishly keep extending ourselves out to people? Or why do we continue reaching out to the same people over and over again? When they have proven themselves multiple times in the past to be as untrustworthy as a person can be. I have to say it is our sincere goodness. Darn our God-given emotions of, trust, kindness, love, care and compassion. Why do we have to be this way? Why can’t we ever just walk away? Oh, do not fret my dear friends. There will most definitely be a time when you will walk away completely. And those that have broken your trust time and time again will be sorry that they ever did. They will miss you, they will want you back. But you won’t be there.

Trust HIM –

Throughout my life, I have watched my grandparents do everything for others. They have dropped whatever they were doing so they could go help one of their friends or family. And when the time came for them to need that same assistance, most every single time, our friends and family proved to be untrustworthy. Leaving my grandparents to get burned after doing the best for those around them. It really just doesn’t seem fair most of the time. I would often find myself questioning why I would ever want to live a life of honest and trustworthiness. When all it seems to do is get life to throw a hot pile of coal back in your face that burns like nothing you might of ever experienced before.

I’ve seen my grandparents give possessions and vehicles to friends and family when they needed it, without ever even asking them to give as much as a down payment. In all fairness. For my mom, their brothers and sisters and friends. I don’t think that they could have done any better then they have. I don’t believe that there is much they could have done differently. My grandpa has provided friends in his life with his utmost assistance, whether that be friends he’d only known a few years. Or friends that he had known for more than a decade from back when he was a trucker. Honesty, loyalty, integrity, trustworthiness, kindness, love, genuine care. Never letting your word become something bad, because your word is your bond. That is trusting God.

In Conclusion:

Trusting in God is all we can do these days. People aren’t nearly as trustworthy as they once were, and that says a lot considering that even back then. People weren’t as trustworthy as we might of thought. I believe they were more afraid of what people might do to one of them if they’d ever dare cross anyone. They were tough back then, they lived by a code. A code that not many today want to live by, because for some reason. They think it’s stupid or pointless. Wondering who it was that made up all these stupid rules about living a life with honor and dignity. I would like to believe that it was God, and I would also like to believe that all these valuable ethics still do apply in our life. WE have just forgotten how to use them.

Nevertheless, if something can be forgotten. Then it can easily be remembered or relearned. So let’s go out into this dark world while making a difference wherever it is that we may go. Let’s show everyone just how good people can still be no matter how hopeless it all may seem. Show them that there is hope for the world and show them that you are that hope. Truck on my friends, just keep right on trucking and trusting in God, he will definitely see you through.

Until next time…

I Choose LOVE

May
15

Over the years I have been told that I have much reason to be a bitter, angry, no good for nothing out of control, wildly insane person that hates life and that hates everything and everyone in life but I have decided that I will not let my trials and hardships break me, nor will I ever let them shake me, they can and will not bend me nor will they crush me, however I will allow them to make me everything that I need to be and I will choose something better than hate.

blue-abstract-background-3439-hd-wallpapersI will choose love, even though there are times that socking someones brains out feels just right for the job I have to remind myself that in this life I have not made it this far to beat the living daylights out of a person that may very well deserve, no matter what comes my way I am determined to react in love and it may seem from time to time that I am bitter or angry. To those who have hurt me and caused me pain that is, and that’s absolutely fine but it’s also about as false as a counterfeit 100 dollar bill, because I love everyone and everything, I have a great love in my heart for those that are lost, for my friends, for those that pass away that I don’t even know, I have a great love and sorrow for them.

And If it seems that I’m bitter or angry in anyway then let me clarify what it is that I am actually feeling deep inside, I am feeling hurt, crushed, as if someone took me and tore me apart limb from limb, devastated, broken to pieces and outright shattered by some of the events that have gone on in the years gone by. I am terribly upset that something like this could ever happen again after I so willingly gave so much of my trust back again, however, no matter how bad it gets, I will let the devil know this, I REFUSE to get angry, I REFUSE to hate, I REFUSE to be consumed by bitterness and I REFUSE to let it break me, it will make me.

Be Better Not Bitter –

It’s not easy, it’s hard actually. But I will continue to do what I have always done, emotionally I will continue to make the best of it and I will continue to be the better person instead of the ‘bitter’ person, because it’s easy to be bitter, anyone can be filled with hate and anger, but it’s hard to be kind and loving even if you feel as though you can’t possibly be kind to one more person – it’s hard. Yet so right, nothing right ever comes easy, the good things are always gonna be a little bit harder or even much harder, because the good path is that much harder to come by.

People wonder why it’s so hard to be good, why life is a living hell for the Christian, one way I like to look at that is because it’s a lot harder to find an honest person then it is to find a lying no good for nothing scumbag, that liar is no threat to the enemy, but an honest Christian with a bright light for Christ. You my friend, you’re a threat. As long as you’re telling the truth and worshiping him with everything in you, fully committed to his word, his truth and his way, for as long as you do this you will constantly face attacks from the enemy, you’ll be unhappy from time to time, miserable even, you might even grow some hate in your spirit. Hate for your job, hate for your life in general, maybe even hate for people around you, but be not overcome with evil – overcome evil with good my dear brethren.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against powers, against principalities, against spiritual wickedness in high places, so don’t hate the person in your life that is causing you pain and turmoil. Don’t even hate your job, don’t even hate the enemy, don’t let yourself be filled with hate in any kind of way at all, instead choose to be better, choose love.

In Conclusion:

Love is far more powerful than hate or anger ever could be, love can bring down hate, love can destroy the enemy in mere seconds, as matter of fact that is exactly what ‘LOVE’ did on the cross when Jesus shed his blood for us, love took us away from satan, we were hell bound, we were nearly there when out of nowhere the most miraculous event in all of history occurs. God himself in human form DIES for our sins so that we might be saved and so that we might be forgiven if we would only accept him as our Lord and savior, if we would only believe upon him, if we would only believe that he loved us so much that he was willing to die for us in such a horrific way.

If only.. Choose love today my friends, no matter how heartbroken or hurt it is that you may be and no matter how angry you are starting to feel about how it is that someone could harm you so badly, especially someone you loved dearly. No matter how bad the pain, choose to love, because choosing to love will help you move on quicker, it won’t be easy, but it won’t be impossible. Thanks for joining me today and I hope that you leave greatly encouraged in all your spirit, and I hope you be uplifted as well.

Until next time…
