This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. – Psalms 118:24 (KJV)

There Is Still Hope

When you have taken the last step that you think you can take, there is still hope. When you have reached what you say is absolutely the very last destination you will ever reach, just let me take a moment to remind you of something that you might have forgotten while on your journey, there most certainly is ‘still’ hope. Though it seems that all hope may be lost, when you least expect it, it is there for you.

11271140_1141879335837580_152668578_n If you feel as though you have given the last bit of advice you can ever give, there is still hope for more, if it seems as though you are no longer able to care for anyone at all, there is hope. There is hope for you when no one else thinks there is, there is hope for you in the darkest pits of this world, and yes I have to say that absolutely there is hope even when you don’t deserve a second chance, even if you have failed at everything else, you still have hope. Somehow it’s there when you need it the most and deserve it the least, could it be that God cares about his children that much, that he would be so gracious and kind to extend hope to us even though it is certain that we do not deserve one ounce of mercy?

Absolutely, it most certainly is. Why? For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever ‘believeth’ in him should ‘not’ perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) “Everlasting” Eternity, Forever, on and on and on and on and on and on and on! IF – ONLY we would just BELIEVE that HE IS, he is what? He is our LOVE, he is our LORD, he is our GOD, he is our LIGHT he is our JOY, he is our STRENGTH he is the TRUTH, he is the WAY, he is the LIFE, he is EVERYTHING, he IS ‘EVERLASTING’ he is the beginning and the end, he is eternity he is forever, he is HOPE. When we least expected it he was our hope, he came into this dying world and he SAVED it, he gave us new life, he gave us new faith, he gave us new air to breath, new light to see and my friends, he gave us HOPE.

Our Hope Lies In Christ –

I may have mentioned this before on my radio show, but I do not believe that I ever have written about it on my blog post, there is an old song (bet you thought I was gonna say ‘there is still hope’ didn’t ya? Fooled you.) that my grandparents often sing, they learned it from one of their old Pastor’s from when they first got into church, (many moons ago, no, just kidding, only one.) it explains how there is only one hope that we have, and that would be hope in Jesus Christ. It is entitled “Jesus My Hope Is In You” in the lyrics it goes on to say that there is no one else who could possibly carry us through (and if I may elaborate) no one else could ever carry us through such dark times of this wicked world that we face as Christ can, no one else has the power to help us overcome evil with good and no one else deserves praise and honor as he.

Though there are times when satan may try and tempt us to give up and walk away from the path that God has set out before us, we cannot allow him to fool us into believing that what he says is true. He will try and trick us into believing that there is no hope, that our lives aren’t worth much, or anything for that matter. He will laugh at us and get us to feel terrible about ourselves, he will ‘try’ and make us worry about every little thing that you can imagine and he will try to make you think that God doesn’t care about you, that God does not love you. That you aren’t able to be saved from all your sins and before you know it “IF” you let him get in your head, you will soon become a victim to evil mind play of the devil himself.

In Conclusion:

When you’re down and discouraged, and feeling alone, a beggar an outcast, or a man with no home, know that in one special moment your life can be made new, because there is still hope. In Jesus alone. The other day I became worried about something, so I decided to call and find out the outcome so I wouldn’t have to worry anymore, when I got off the phone with the people I wanted to talk with it became clear to me that there was no reason to be so worried, not just yet anyways. And what became even more clear to me was the fact that there was still hope for me. Thus the inspiration for this blog post was born, we all need a little hope in our lives, living in these days don’t we?

We could use it. If you find yourself in a predicament that causes you to start worrying, fear not, remember that even if it doesn’t seem as though it’s there, it is. Hope will always be there, and you will always be able to find it, no matter how big or small the situation is or no matter how unlikely it is that there be any chance at all. I promise you that even if it’s a very small thread, it will be there and it will be something that will help you make it through, it will be what gets you to your next destination and it will be what gets you to the finish line of this race to glory.

Thank you for reading today’s post, I hope that it has blessed you in some special way my friends, until the next time we blog I pray for you to be continuously be treated the way that you treat others on a daily basis. God bless and as always…

We Plan – God Laughs

Have you ever got up in the morning, put a great big smile on your face and said out loud that today was going to be the day that everything turned out just as you have planned it to? Have you ever woken up with such strong determination to make sure that each minute of your day goes exactly as you have it planned? I’m sure that you have, we all have, we all have tried and we all have failed, because like the saying goes, when we make plans, God laughs.

bigstock_Sky_and_clouds_background_26443844Welcome to the amazingly wonderful bloggin’ experience of ‘Nathan Tune’, I of course am, Nathan Tune and today’s post is going to be discussing how it is that we often make our own plans in life only to see them wither away throughout the day as plans of a higher authority proceed with excellence and a great humoring day of complete interruption in our little puny lives, have you ever got up in the morning and went out to start your car and yet it didn’t start exactly when you wanted it to? And when it finally did start, though you were 30 minutes late for your job or wherever it is that you had to be, you come up only to get stalled yet again, by a traffic jam, caused by an accident, an accident that perhaps you might have been involved in if your car would have started just when you wanted it to, ever look at things like that?

I do, I look at things like that all the time. Because I for one am always trying to see the brighter side of things, the other night I was watching one of my new favorite TV sitcoms on ABC – ‘Cristela’ about this Mexican Family in Dallas Texas, it is ‘Hilarious’ and I remember their Mother was talking to them and they were discussing plans for their life and she told them “Don’t you remember what I told you? We make plans and God laughs!” then one of the daughters all of sudden replied, “We know, A’ma, you tell us everyday that God laughs at us.” and she simply responded something like “It’s true.” it was so funny and I really do enjoy that show, and it got me to thinking, it really is true.

His Will – Not Ours

I often mention the importance of being aligned in God’s perfect will, and if we choose to obey him and pray this over our lives then to make plans and then to be angered when they don’t go as planned would be completely ludicrous, either way we must know that when we commit our lives to him, he has all on his on already planned out the ‘perfect’ life for us. Perfect? Yes, perfect, but how can that be? Well, what’s perfect to us may be extremely different to what is perfect to God and vice versa, but if we allow God to plan our lives then we can rest assured that he will plan our lives far more perfectly then we ever in a million years could have done on our own.

Scripture Reference:

“There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.” – Proverbs 19:21 KJV

I remember one time I was with my family and we were going to get on this shuttle to go to a blue berry farm in Louisiana where we could pick our very own blueberries, we were all so excited but we had to wait in line forever because one of their drivers was late, we even had to go drive around while we waited because it was taking so long. Then when we got back and their driver had finally arrived we almost didn’t get to go, but finally we did and when all of us got on the road we didn’t make it but a few short miles before we came upon a terrible wreck where gasoline had spilled all over the road and caused a pile up that involved one of the shuttles that went ahead before us, a Motorcycle and a truck, everyone was so astonished that whether they believed it was God or not, that something of a higher authority ‘spared’ us from the wreckage.

In Conclusion:

I do believe it was God and I am so thankful that he is always watching over me and my family and all of us, even those who might not fully believe in him or even those that might not have their life committed to him and doesn’t believe in him at all. He still watches over them because he loves them with so much love and compassion that our tiny little minds couldn’t even begin to comprehend that we serve such a sovereign God that is in control watching over all of us. It’s incredible and I can say with utmost assurance that ‘Our God Is An Awesome God’ he reigns from heaven above, with wisdom, power and love, yes our God is an awesome God.

Remember, though it may be frustrating to make plans and watch them wither away, it is best that we trust in God at all times and obey him because he for certain knows what is best for us. Thank you all for reading today’s post and I hope and pray that it has been a blessing to you in some way shape or form, whatever time it is, wherever you are and whoever you are, I wish you a blessed life.

Until next time…
