The Brokenness…

Mar
26

If you were to ask me to write a post about being broken, broken things and ‘brokenness’ I would have to accept your proposal and I would also have to write the post in a story type fashion. You see, sometimes, the only way for me to get my point across crisp and clear is with a story.

IMG_2631

So let me begin with a story of ‘Brokenness’ on this day.

The silence in the room was deafening as it echoed throughout the night. The boy lie awake, tormented by his emotions, restless and weary of fighting them hours on end. Trying his best not to give in. He stares up at the blank ceiling. There in that white void in the late hour of the night he finds solitude, comfort and assurance. But not peace. He stares for hours at this ceiling, dwelling on things of the past, dreaming, praying, hoping, wishing. Crying. Crying out, crying for and crying about, the things of the past. Can he find comfort in his tears? Is there rest for the weary? Is there solitude and peace for those who weep and mourn in the late hour of the lonely night? Or is there just pain and despair? Hurt and grief? To what end? How can this be? The boy cries harder with his face buried in his pillow like a weak and feeble infant with no shame. Why would God permit such heartache to pierce the soul of such a young child, a servant of Christ? A doer of good. How could it be? Does the good Lord not hear the cries that is bellowed throughout the night by this young boy? Does he have no care at all for what happens to this child? Does it not concern God one bit? Why, oh why must the good suffer so, while the evil receive so much goodness with so little turmoil or hardships? This is the question the heartbroken boy cries out into the dark and silent lonely night.

Are there answers for this young soul? Is there hope? Or is there only pain and heartache? Alone and tired and broken and scared and so afraid of losing all he has left, for he’s already lost so much. Friends, loved ones, beloved pets. How can such a tormented person go on in this life? Expected to always be smiling, always be shining, always a comfort to those in need in the late hour of their lonely grief. To what end is this tragic pain? To what end? Can others simply not understand? Or can they understand and just not care? Is it selfishness for this child to seek solitude and comfort and confine in others? Is it selfish to want one lonely night to himself to grieve, to weep, to mourn and cry out for his Father’s help?

So many have asked of this boy, “can you talk?” and no matter the late hour, he responds. “Yes.” No matter the events that are happening in his own life, he sets them aside and finds temporary comfort in paying attention to the heartache and brokenness of those around him. But, again I must ask. To what end? How can one go on? How can one be expected to smile through the tears? How can one be expected to forget, expected to move on so quickly from such turmoil, such torment. How can that be, how can it be? Now, let us discuss this child’s Family.

There is a Family:

A Mother, a Father, a Daughter a Son. And the Daughter’s two children as well. And in these days, what are families most prone to? What is most likely to happen to families? From a biblical perspective, heartache, pain, turmoil and yes… Brokenness, the enemy works it all out  so well. That it seems as if Mother is against Daughter and Daughter is against Mother. Father against Son, and Son is against Father, and on and on and on when will the brokenness be gone? There is so much division, separation and hurt. The boy often finds himself crying himself to sleep at night. Crying out, asking, why wondering If,  if his family is so divided, if there is so much strife and so much anger and heartache. How can his family ever make it to heaven together? How?

With the thoughts of Daughter against Mother and the thoughts of Mother against daughter, constant arguing and never ending fighting and inevitable division, how can there ever be a path to heaven for his family or anyone? How? Why must it be him? Why must this hurt and tragedy happen to him and to his family? Sickness, confusion, strife and pain. Why must this happen? Does God not hear the cries of the young boy in the middle of the  lonely night? Does he simply not care? Why must the world be so broken? When the boy is finally able to sleep, he wakes with one thought and one question on his mind.

I wake up this morning to families torn apart and I wish I could fix it, give them a brand new start. But I can’t. I know you’re hurting and I know you’re in pain. I know how you feel. But don’t give up yet, just believe. You are stronger than you think. You’ve been through the trials and you’ve been through the pain. You have been hurt so severe. But don’t give up, you’ve made it through and yes, you are stronger than you think. And if you’ve made it through this, just think what you can do. You could change the whole world and help others too. Because you are stronger than you think.

In Conclusion:

So there you have it, my short story for “Brokenness” broken things. There will always be brokenness in one’s life and there will always be heartache and turmoil. There will always be hurting children and there will always be families torn apart. Not because of anything that God has done, but because of what man has done. The world is corrupt and the enemy is on the warpath. And more and more each day we are giving in to his ways and that just makes the world that much darker. While the boy in my story may face some hardships from time to time and while he may grieve greatly in the late hour of the lonely night. He never once let himself become consumed by darkness, and that is where we must tread ever so carefully. It is alright to grieve, it’s perfectly normally to cry and to feel sad from time to time, it is even normal to be completely overwhelmed by heartache, we are only human. But we can’t let that determine us as a person. We must keep strong and we must move on.

God is our fortress, he is our refuge and he is our mighty tower. While it may not seem like he cares for all those little children that weep and mourn in the lonely night. He does and he does listen to them, he is listening to them and he will answer them. Which is why I do my part in praying every night for every child all over the world. The abandoned child, the broken child. The child that is neglected and abused, they could use all the prayers they could get and if we can do more, then we should do that too. Until next time my friends, remember that we cannot choose the events that happen to us but we CAN choose how we respond to them. Just remember God is the great Physician and he can mend all broken things. It won’t be easy, it will take time. But nothing is impossible with God, some things may not be mended until that day in heaven when he wipes the tears from our eyes but he can and he will.

Peace – Hope – Life

Mar

Ladies and Gentlemen. Men, Women, Boys and Girls. While this blog post can be read entirely on it’s own, it is part of another which is entirely separate from this one. For those of you who haven’t read that, CLICK HERE. Today I will be continuing that post by discussing the last three topics I mentioned in last weeks post.

picjumbo.com_DSC_3274

I would like to get straight to the point as I wish to take up as little space as possible due to my nonsense rambling. Let us begin then shall we? First, let me begin with…

PEACE –

What is peace? Can anyone apart from God ever know true peace? Many non-believers and some modern day preachers would pose the argument that one can achieve peace without God. But what kind of peace exactly? Better locks on the doors of your home? Or a more secure security system? A vault of weapons and ammunition? How about a bunker deep beneath your feet for you to go to when ‘It all hits the fan’? Perhaps it is a $10,000 mattress? Or a $1,000 pillow? Is that how you achieve peace? Possibly, that is somewhat of a pathway to peace. But is it true peace? Is it real peace? Many people think that peace is ignoring the storms in life, they believe that if one has peace, then they are totally obliterate to the chaos around them. For that last statement, in some ways this is true. Meaning that, the chaos around one with true peace does not affect them nearly as much as it would someone without true peace.

Why?

Jesus Christ. Often times, many modern day preachers and Christians will make the case that once you come to Christ, all of your problems and worries will go away. This could not be further from the truth. In fact, once you agree to commit your life to Christ, your life is just going to begin getting chaotic and interesting! So how is this achieving true peace, you might ask? I have said this a many times and I will say it again. Being a Christian does not mean you live without storms. It means, because of Christ, you can come out of the storm VICTORIOUS! One who has true peace, does not ignore or is not obliterate to the chaos around them, they face it every single day. But because of their peace, they can conquer it and emerge from it, victorious.

The bible tells us that those who are without God do not and cannot ever have true peace. It also tells us that, peace found within God is a peace like no other. We may be able to find temporary comfort in this world, but that is all it will be. Temporary. The peace that can be found in Christ, is something to last for eternity.

HOPE –

I cannot write about this subject enough. Hope, it’s an amazing thing. And the most amazing part about hope, is not when you have a lot of it. It’s when you have very little of it. Because that, my friends… THAT is when HOPE will shine the most. How? Let me go on and explain what I mean by this. I have seen time and time and time and again where I am on my last thread of hope, just about to give up and sometimes I even have given up. But then, hope surprises me. And I am blessed and shocked in ways I could have never even predicted in a million years. You have to understand, unlike so many people I know, I have always been quite an optimistic person. I don’t know why. But I am. At this time in particular, I am very optimistic that Ted Cruz can win the Republican Nomination, but am I saying that I put my hope in HIM? No, of course not. One cannot simply put their faith in MAN and expect to get anywhere. Now, hold up. I hear you, I hear you. You’re thinking to yourself right now, shouting in your mind.

“JESUS CHRIST WAS A MAN!”

True… That’s True, Jesus Christ was IN FACT a man. But here’s the thing. A man alone, he was not. There are some Christians to this day that believe Christ is nothing more then JUST a man. Then there are those who believe that he is a ‘god’ separate from ‘God’ and both of these groups of people could not be more wrong. The scripture is clear, God was manifested in the flesh. He came to earth as a child. He ate with us, walked with us, talked with us. He felt actual pain, he felt our pain. He was in every sense of the word, a MAN. However, here’s the thing. At the same time, he WAS in every sense of the word, GOD. He healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons and rose from the dead. He’s God in the Father, He’s GOD in the Son, and he is GOD in the Holy Ghost. He was, he IS God.

One does not simply deny that Jesus is God. However, so many do on a daily basis. But this is besides the actual point. My hope is not in Ted Cruz. His hope is not in Ted Cruz. His hope and my hope is in Jesus Christ. So when I believe with all my heart that Cruz can and will win. It’s because I myself (and I know Ted does) put my hope In Jesus. My grandparent’s sing a song. I have shared this song over and over again. It is an oldie, but a goodie. They sing this song which was written by their pastors long ago. It is called – “Jesus My Hope Is In You” Anytime my grandma goes to sing it, often throughout the song she makes the point that hope in Christ is all we’ve got. And when you think about, it is. Scripture tells us –

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28 KJV

Brother & Sister Tune Singing “Jesus My Hope Is In You”

In Conclusion:

At this point, you are probably asking yourselves, what about ‘LIFE’? Well, that is just the thing. The key to a whole and fulfilling life is in finding true Love, Joy, Peace and Hope IN Christ! Life without Christ, is not life at all. The scripture says, to live is Christ and, to die is gain. Why? What does this mean? Without Christ, we would have no life. He died on the cross for our sins, without that sacrifice he made. None of us would be here today. He died for us, can we not at least bring ourselves to live for him? In knowing the truth of the Gospel, we know that after death, there is glory. Heaven. We should not fear death, because our reward in heaven is great. So I would like to take this moment to pose this simple question. You do not have to answer right away, but at least ponder it would you? OK, here it goes, you ready?

What Hinders You From Committing Your Life To Christ Today?

I know, I have asked this question before. But it’s a very important question that we must all come to face one day, I’ve heard so many different answers, and I find each and every single one of them interesting. But the fact is, while you sit and think you have tomorrow to choose whom ye will serve, what happens tomorrow is uncertain. Over 150,000 people die each and every single day, how many of those were saved? The answer is unknown. But the time to get right with God could not be any better, and the time to start warning all that you know and claim to love, could not be any sooner. The time is now, Christianity is not a game. It’s not, go to Church every Sunday and where your finest attire while you sit and listen to a guy preach for an hour or so. Those things are good, but Christianity is taking that message with you, out to the streets and letting others know. JESUS IS ALIVE and he SAVES.

Until next time, my dear friends.

Walk On…

Aug
25

Do you ever wake up in the morning feeling as if you just can not possible go on any longer than you have already gone? Does it ever feel as if you have took the last step that you can take and far too weak for more?

just-walk-awayBe not afraid and be not discouraged, times can get unsettling every now and then and it sure can seem as if we have reached our final destination but just when we think it might be the end it turns out to be the beginning of something beautiful, isn’t that amazing, I think it is, here’s what we must do though on our own, we have to be willing to walk on bravely and boldly through the hardships and whatever else it is that life may throw our way we have to be ready no matter what.

Reba McEntire’s song ‘Walk On’ is in no doubt the inspiration of today’s blog post, I was listening to it in the early of the morning one day and I have always loved it, the lyrics are rather plain and simple like a lot of famous country songs, it encourages you to move forward with determination and will power through all that may come your way because we know that life will get us down and may even knock us to on the ground every now and then but we just need to walk on through all the pain and tears, because there is indeed something better coming our way.

The Best Is Yet To Come:

I am constantly saying this, because it’s true, if we hold out for a little bit longer we will be given a great surprise that’s for sure. So many times people come to Christ thinking that this way is easy and filled with great luxury but that’s only because they are fed a lie from ‘Pastors’ that just want to get someone in the pew to pay the tithes, and I’m not saying living for Christ doesn’t have it’s perks because it really does it just isn’t the riches of this world or anything material like most would have you think, and that doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t OK to have nice things either but the point is, going to Christ for nice things really isn’t the right way to go about it.

We are to trust and obey him in all things and he will lead us to his perfect will, in many cases he is sitting and waiting for us to move, because while we think that we are waiting for him to move, he has already moved in a greater manner than we could ever imagine, sometimes it takes opening our eyes to see the greatness that is set out before us, we must believe with everything in us that everything we may go through both good and bad is for a reason and a purpose, a ‘good’ reason and a ‘good’ purpose.

In Conclusion:

This may be hard for many of us to comprehend but we must not be dismayed, because it is the truth of his word, it is the beauty of his way, in the scripture it tells us that all things will work together for his good.

  • And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28 KJV

Amen to that, amen? So many times we can get caught up in worldly reasoning and we forget that God is higher in his ways then we are, and his thoughts are not the same as our thoughts, he knows all and sees all, he is the beginning and end, we are told in the scripture that to everything there is a plan, a purpose and a season, we must trust and believe in him at all times, for he is worthy of his praise and he is justified in his ways.

Thank you for reading today and I hope that it has been of some encouragement to you, until we meet again I pray that you all be uplifted in Spirit and health.

I’m Not Perfect

Jul
21

We must all come to the realization that we aren’t the best that we can or even should be. There are small little imperfections about us that we cannot fix and other things that could do with some improvement. However, no matter what we must learn that we are not the most perfect human beings that have ever walked the face of the earth, we may be smart and know a lot, but we still have much left to learn.

tumblr_m7sr5oeuZ71r71r40o1_500I wrote one week about how we all have our own shoes to fill, you see. While some people sit on their high horse and look down upon on others as if they are mere lowly peasants not worth anyone’s time of day. They have a story, they have a heart, they have mind and a soul and they have emotion. Humans is what they are, humans like you and me, they aren’t perfect, some may not be so great with Math, while others may not be so good at grammar. Or perhaps they cannot even write or read at all, is that any cause to make fun of them, is that any reason? I think not. You see, we often forget that we ourselves at one point did not know the things we knew, maybe we were completely ignorant to everything we know now. But maybe, just maybe, someone took the time to share their expertise with us. Instead of shaming us into thinking we are nothing, instead of making cruel jokes and saying bad things about us without actually saying them.

Perhaps instead of saying those cruel comments out loud at all? I guess there will always be those who try and make us feel lowly of ourselves. I suppose that there will always be critiques. But we don’t have to allow those criticisms to get us down, as matter of fact, we don’t even have to let it be criticism at all. We can flip flop something around that was meant to be bad, and we can make it into a beautiful like transformation. Let’s not allow others to break us, let’s let them help to make us. That’s what I always say, lets rise high above our normal comfort zone. And let’s all try to be a little better than we normally are, let us not allow our imperfection’s to weaken us or prohibit us from achieving our dreams and for sure let’s not allow cruel comments to crush our self-esteem. Because we know in our hearts who we are, and we know that we do the best we can.

Do Your BEST – Leave the REST

Sometimes all you can do is the best that you can do, “Do your best and leave the rest, and hope to pass the test.” That’s another little quote that I always say, something I combined from the old ‘Black Beauty’ movie and my own thoughts during the time that my Mother had left back in 2011. It’s still something that I tell myself to this very day, because all you can ever do is the best that you can do and if you still end up getting burned in the process, then at least you tried. That’s bound to count for something isn’t it? Well, who knows it does, right? Maybe we are all just really that bad at being decent humans, or maybe others are really that bad at being good friends in this life. Or what if it’s a little of both? I think it is, even when we give it our absolute best, we will still make mistakes both big and small and that’s just a fact of life.

No matter how good we get at something, there is always going to be someone better than us at it, and that is perfectly fine because it is only another small fact of life. That should only make us want to try harder at what we do, so we can keep improving in our work or passion, and maybe we could even learn from those better than us. I mean after all, they didn’t get to be so good by being jealous of someone’s talent did they? They couldn’t have, they stepped up to the plate and became better instead of bitter and now we are back to that. That is the key no matter where we go, whether it come to getting cut off in traffic or finding out that someone may be better at something than you are, the key is to be better instead of bitter.

In Conclusion:

As Christian’s we know that we aren’t perfect, we are only human, but we also know that being human is no excuse to sin willfully and we also know that because we are mere humans with many weaknesses (imperfect in many ways) we are forgiven by God of all the things that we have ever done or may do ‘unknowingly’ in the future. Because that is just how loving and amazing Jesus Christ is, he is holy and he is just, he loves with such an amazing love and he judges with a mighty hand of glory and of power because he is full of righteousness beyond our imagination.

Remember this the next time you see someone sitting on their high horse judging others for every little imperfection, or remember this the next time YOU, yourself start to do the same to others. The murder deserves punishment, the thief deserves just punishment as does the drunkard and the alcoholic and the adulterer and the fornicator and the bully. And you get the picture I’m sure, we all have a big something or a little something that deems us worthy of hell. We have ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and though it can be easy at times to become quickly angered at others hypocrisy and though they are justly deserving of unmerciful punishment – we can’t forget. SO ARE WE. While sins are different in a legal sense, they are the same in an eternal sense, meaning that if we are to continue in our sins willfully then… The punishment is death and separation from God. For.. Eternity. And because we all have had our fair share of sins, this makes us JUST as deserving of unmerciful punishment as it does anyone else who has.

Thank you for reading today’s post, until next time my dear friends, I pray that you have a very blessed with many moments of great love, joy, laughter and…

Children & The Corn

Jul
14

Don’t get it twisted just yet my friends, at least listen to what I have to say first. However, before I get into that, why not a short word of inspiration? When people tell you that you can’t, show them that you can. When they tell you that you won’t, show them that you most definitely will and lastly. If people tell you that you will never, show them that you will never let them be right no matter what it takes.

CornA long time ago, back in the day. When I was but a wee lil’ lad, I did something really stupid. Haven’t we all? It was the summer of the year 2000 something (which we are still living in, for anyone confused) and I had just went outside to play with another member of my family and a neighbor friend that we had invited over, my grandma and my mom were gone and my grandpa was the only left at home to watch us. He was in his bedroom, most likely taking a nap. When all of a sudden, we decided to go and play in the garden, well isn’t that a bright idea? I remember standing next to the corn stalk’s, I must of only been 4 1/2 feet tall and they were almost as tall as me so they must not have been that tall yet. I believe we were playing cops and robbers, I even had a toy dispatch radio.

As we were playing, I started getting tired and wanted to rest for a moment, but my younger family member started pulling on me and I decided to grad a hold of the corn. The constant tugging at it eventually caused it to become uprooted, I stood there for a few minutes in shock while holding the ripped up stalk in my hand. I heard my grandpa come outside, he must of heard all the ruckus and woke up from his nap to see what was going on. My family member told me that I was in trouble, our neighbor just stood there for a moment in the garden until my grandpa got there and seen what had happened, I have to say. He wasn’t too happy about me pulling up one of his corn stalks that my grandma and him had put so much time and effort in to grow, let’s just say that I learned a lesson that day and a lesson that has stayed with me even to this day.

Parents – God – Children – Corn

So, by now I bet you are wondering, “how does this tie into children?” Well, let me explain. It took my grandparents a whole lot of hard work, time and effort in growing that corn. First, the ground had to be tilled and then the seed had to be planted, it had to be covered up with a gardening hoe. Watered, weeded and nurtured for quite a long time to get it as big as it was. Only to be uprooted as if it was all done in vain, for nothing. It couldn’t bare any food anymore and there was no way of getting it deeply rooted again as it was once before, it seems as though it was lost forever. In the same way that an uprooted corn stalk can upset a person that values their garden a lot, having a child become uprooted from everything that a parent has taught them and raised them on their whole life can also very easily be upsetting for that parent.

It didn’t take them over night to get their child so deeply rooted in such a strong solid foundation, or well at least what they thought was a rock solid foundation. So why is it that many times parent’s children can become so easily uprooted almost over night as if they were never rooted at all? Temptation, tugging perhaps. The enemy will come and no matter how deeply rooted parent’s may think that their children are mentally, and even spiritually. If they aren’t fully committed to the will of God, then they will be easily taken down by the tugs of the enemy and like the man that build his house on sand, they will come crashing down.

In Conclusion:

Really all there is that we can do is pray. It may not seem like a whole lot, but it really is more than we could ever imagine, because it is true that prayer changes things. It is true that with faith and prayer, what once seemed like a terrible tragedy, can be turned around in to something so much greater than we could have ever thought. Continuously nurture your corn, water it, weed it, help it to grow as strong as it can be. Help it to be as deeply rooted as possible, so that no matter how strong the wind is, it won’t be able to blow it down. And no matter how rough the enemy comes in tugging, they won’t be able to pull it up. It’s not going to be an easy task and I for one am not one to give too much expertise on such issues, however. I must say. With God, it most certainly will not be impossible.

So you see my friends. It appears that the title should make some type of sense now, shouldn’t it? I know that some may have gotten the wrong impression at first glance, but believe you me. That was not my intentions. My only intentions is to help people see a great message of inspiration each time I share something on here, and while there may be times that I become weary and discouraged with everything. I know that with God ALL things are possible and I keep trusting in him for inspiration and he just keeps right on giving it to me.

I hope you liked today’s post and until next time…

Dare Be a Disciple?

May
20

Greetings, as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, I’ve noticed that it cost me my family, friends, and much more.  When you become a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, you will start to notice division among your family. Well, they will pretty much isolate themselves from you who is in Christ. It can feel like a lonely walk in your walk with God, but we must always remember that the Lord is with us.

11272287_10204027599719144_1004291362_nJohn 16:32 says 32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. So, what exactly do I mean that it can be a lonely walk when your walking with God? Well, it is when members of your own household like your mother, earthly father, cousins, aunts, uncles hate you because you decided to follow Jesus. I have experienced isolation from my own family that I used to be close with. It has been hard for me because I’ve always been a family type of person, always being in fellowship with my family. And though it may be hard for me, it is so worth it. The best decision I ever made in my entire my life was starting a true relationship with Jesus Christ.

Jesus said in Matthew 10:34-39

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

When you carry your cross it signifies admitting His right over your life. As you give up your life to Jesus, you will find true life in return. As a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, one should not love their family more than the Lord. Furthermore, another example of how a lonely walk can be as a Christian is when you can’t find anyone to fellowship with who has the same interests as you do when you are in Christ. Or some people might see you as a lunatic or too religious. I know I am not the only one who desires to fellowship with those who are on fire for God. As born-again in Jesus, you see the world in a different perspective. For example, When you’re new in Christ, you dislike the wicked things this world has to offer. As your led by the Holy Spirit, you start to feel as a foreigner in a strange land because you know your citizenship is in heaven! Our true home is where our Abba Father lives!

So when your family stops talking to you, and ignores you as if you didn’t exist anymore just remember what Jesus said in John 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. I rather choose Jesus over my family a million times because He is worth it! At the end, we will be rewarded for enduring until the end! So continue to walk strong in the Lord! I hope this blog post blessed you in some way in reminding you that you’re not alone.

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. –  Matthew 16:27

I’m Dying…

May
08

There are those who ‘want’ to live their life to the fullest and then there are those who actually do, there are those who spend all of their life working in it so hard and so frequently that they don’t take the time to actually ‘LIVE’ age doesn’t define how long we have lived, because you can be 120 years old, doesn’t necessarily mean that you have really began to give it all that you have and live all you can.

o-JESUS-CARRYING-CROSS-facebookI am dying, everyday I get up I die, for many reasons. The main reason is the fact that I have to die to my own self and put God first in everything it is that I do, making sure that I please him, which is hard for someone my age but I have always been able to be faithful in all situations no matter what it is that they may be or how hard. I have often wondered why it is that no matter how much I have tried and no matter how much effort I have put in to finding a job, I still haven’t been able to get hired anywhere at all, I have gone dressed up, I have gone dressed casually, I have done everything it is that I could possibly do and I have went to every place in this town at least 5 times or more and everywhere else close to where I live and still unable to get any kind of job, it’s frustrating because now that I am old enough to finally help my family financially, I can’t seem to be much help, and I have asked God for his will every time and I don’t want anything less than that, but being able to trust and obey is many times easier said then done.

Each day that I wake I am dying from not being able to do something that I truly love, like making some type of film, acting, voice acting, doing some type of voice over work or just having people nearby that I could work on such projects with, it many times feels like my passion is slowly dying inside me with each passing day and it gets to me a lot but what can I do? I understand that sometimes things have to be put on hold and I can handle that but I am really dying to get out and create amazing inspiring stories that really make a big difference in any way that I can, I am dying to uplift others in the most unthinkable way possible, I am dying to make people laugh until they cry and cry until they laugh with remarkable heartwarming touching stories that makes people truly face themselves and THINK. Something that makes them THINK about the world around them, something that really gets them to thinking about what it truly means to pick up their cross DAILY and DIE to ourselves with TOTAL surrender to Christ.

SURRENDER:

To die daily is to surrender daily to someone much more powerful and much more wiser than ourselves and I understand for many of the people my age these days this isn’t something that will come so easily for them, and that is fine, because accepting the truth is never easy but let us not forget that just because it isn’t easy that doesn’t make it impossible, if you really want what is best for you in your life, if WE really want what is best for us in our lives then we must be willing to trust that God knows what that is. We must be willing to trust that he is capable of leading us through the darkest pits and up the steepest mountains, out of the loneliest valleys and on to the highest hill, we must be willing to trust that he is the all powerful and all knowing God of the Israelites that he brought out of slavery in Egypt, we must be able to fully give him all control of our lives, praising him at all times.

So yes, I’m dying, I’m dying to myself first, and I’m dying to the world, I’m dying to help, I’m dying to be a light for this world, I’m dying to be some type of sign of hope for others, I’m dying to make a difference and I’m dying to be a difference, I’m dying so that I can see a difference and I’m dying for a day where people are greatly moved by films that I make, stories that I tell, stories of TRUTH – LOVE – and BOLDNESS, stories where what is most important is ‘Family Values’ because it matters. It matters that we uphold the core principals of our beliefs, it matters that we are willing to die for the key ethics that we say we believe, not in some radical terrorist way, but in a loving way. In such a way that people know we love them so much that we would give our lives just so they could hear his gospel.

His Gospel of Love, Grace, Mercy, Forgiveness, Holiness, Truth, Courage, Strength, Hope, Boldness.

In Conclusion:

I’m dying to live for Christ the best way that I possibly can, and I’m dying for you to join me my friend, I want you to know that Jesus Christ is Lord of lords and I want you to know him as your own. I’m hoping that you have been blessed by today’s post and the conclusion of this post is that we are all to be a light of his word, to do this we are to die to ourselves daily so that he can have full radiance within us, so that his witness shines through us in such a way that is far brighter than anything else, because yes. I do want to make movies, dramatic Christian family tv shows and so much more and I want people to be impacted by those and I want those people to see God in me first and foremost and I pray that his blessing be upon whatever It is that I may do because I put him first and I know that because of that he will honor that.

Put God first and he will honor that, of course we know that we are not saved by any manner of works, rather we were saved FOR his workmanship which I find rather remarkable. Because his ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts so we can’t possibly begin to think that his works are our works, his works are far more greater and far more powerful than we could ever possibly imagine, which is why when we do something that he has called us to do and when we obey him. The outcome of that obedience is a hundred times greater than anything that we could have ever done on our own and I think that’s just amazing, that’s why I am dying to do all that I can for Christ and be all that I can, that is why I’m dying on this very day.

That is why I’m dying tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day and that is why I will continue to live as if I’m dying, because I truly am dying on a daily basis to myself, and I encourage everyone to do the same. Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope that you have a blessed rest of your day and until we blog again may you be richly blessed beyond your wildest imaginations.

Not Of This World…

Apr
23

Welcome back to my little heavenly abode my friends, brothers, sisters, webanites, foe and all other alien life forms alike, I would just like to wish you all a blessed day whatever time it is wherever you may be in this world.

not-of-this-world-graspI would like to talk about something that I am most known for when it comes to discussing this topic, often I can be ridiculed for standing up for my faith, whether that comes from people that ‘claim’ to believe like me or people that are your everyday net trolls it doesn’t make any difference, opposition is opposition, however I have learned to be more strong and courageous while making do with whatever is thrown my way, and I believe that this is what we all need to be doing more often.

So many times today in the pulpits ‘ministers’ are trying to make this amusement park out of the church, adding bowling alleys, basketball courts, ice hockey, tv rooms, all to keep your kids happy anything to keep people coming so the ‘Pastors’ can keep getting their tithes, and while I am not against having some type of activity for the youth I think if you have all of that in a church then sometimes a pastor might want and ask himself if those people are really coming for Christ or not.

Isn’t it a shame that so many lost people out there might think they are coming to Christ and they might really love God in their hearts, and they probably even have a great desire to learn about what his will really is but because of preachers like these they are often led down a path that will eventually put them straight in the pits of hell and for the most part it isn’t even their fault, all we can do is pray that God open their eyes sooner then later, because I believe it would be awful for anyone to go to hell.

Especially when they think they are doing God’s work…

Speak Out:

When in reality they are really following mans fleshly desires rather than God’s holy missions of greatness and his will of all mankind, but isn’t there something that we as Christians could do for these ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters’ of the Church of Christ? Well yes there is actually, we could quit standing around like a bunch of juniors with our phones in our hands recording a bully torment a smaller student and we could try and help the smaller student with what is known as inevitable truth, you see the old saying goes for all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to stay back and do nothing. (Not exactly a full on quote but it’s close enough.)

We need to be bold for our fellow man, we need to have a Christ like love and I’ve mentioned this many times in the past but love doesn’t mean that you try every way possible not to hurt a persons feelings, love means you are willing to stand out and stand loud, love means that you are willing to do whatever necessary to make that friend of yours listen. Love means that even if you know the truth might hurt your friend you will tell it to them anyways because you love them, because you want to be completely honest with them no matter what, and that my dear friends is how you stand out in this world, that is how you speak out, in love.

In Conclusion:

Scripture tells us this and this is one of my favorite verses when it comes to the discussion about whether or not Christians should be of this world:

  • And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. – Romans 12:2 KJV

Separation from the world means doing the unthinkable, believing the impossible, living the most abnormal life and serving the most high God, Jesus Christ, living in this world while not being a part of it can sometimes be hard for us but at the same time if we truly believe that the bible is true we know that we were never meant to be a part of THIS world anyways, this earth yes, but this world as it is, I don’t believe that was God’s full plan, but we as man made it corrupt.

Thankfully God made a plan of salvation for us which goes by way of the cross, and I have seen countless times where many people crucify those who promote the cross but to me that is sheer foolishness, we as Christians in any way do not promote or worship the cross, yes it was a sign of pain and agonizing death for Christ, but without that cross, without what he did on that cross we wouldn’t have the ability to make things right with him.

The bible tells us that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to this sinful world, but to us it is hope and strength, an anchor for us in our most troubling storms, while living in this world is not easy and not being a part of it can be even harder at times, we must continue on fighting the good fight of faith, because it’ll be worth it after all..

Until next time…

He Is Risen!

Apr
03

Greetings my fellow comrades, soldiers in Christ’s Army, friends, foe, brothers, sisters and all other alien life forms alike, welcome back.

LOVE 5

Well today is ‘Good Friday’ meaning that this Sunday will be the day most all Christians and most all the world even if they aren’t saved will and might recognize the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I would just like us all to reflect upon on that one amazing moment in history for a short period today if that can possibly be so, then lets get on with it.

I’m sure many might wonder how we are going to reflect upon an event that happened long before any of us was born and while it might be difficult it most certainly isn’t impossible, mean, having been giving his Holy Word to study and learn about the wonderful things that he has done for us as Christ our Lord then it becomes rather easy to recall the story in the bible about the day of his crucifixion which would of been on a Friday, and then the wonderful event of his grand resurrection.

Which from scripture we can tell would of happened on a Sunday morning because it says in his word it was the break of Sabbath and that would have been Saturday, now with today being the 1st day of his main plan for our Salvation as humanity I would like to briefly go over some of the things which Christ would have had to of endured during his crucifixion for the atonement of our sins, our sicknesses and all our diseases which are healed because of him alone.

Beaten And Ridiculed For Me, For You.

It is very obvious in the scripture how horribly beaten and tortured it is that Christ was on that very day, he was beaten, whipped, made to wear a crown of thorns in mockery of his claiming to be the true messiah of the Jewish people, he was flogged until the flesh was coming off of his back and body until he was pretty much unrecognizable at that point.

One can only imagine such pain it must of been that he went through that day, we often have a hissy fit when we get a paper cut or when we are cutting roses and we get pricked from a single thorn we all know how incredibly intense the pain is from one prick of a thorn  you could only imagine the type of pain a whole crown of must of been like on your head after you had already been beaten so bad before and by those you came to help.

Let’s not forget one of the last parts where he had huge nails which were pounded into his hands and his feet, he was so weak and sick by the time it came to carry his cross to be crucified that someone from the crowd had to help carry it up there for him, we can comprehend every time that we might accidentally bump our hand while we are hammering something together from time to time and many of us say we feel the need to ‘curse’ at that very moment.

There are others who have accidentally shot nails through their hands or other places when work with the nail gun went wrong but surely we know our nails are much smaller then the nails would have been that they crucified Christ with was, and just think about this my friends, after enduring that much pain not once is there mention of Christ cursing or cursing those that were brutally killing him.

Yes, HE IS the King of Kings and God Almighty himself the only one who is completely perfect but we have to think about these things for just a moment my friends, God himself was in human flesh, he was walking around in human form with all the natures of that a human would have, he was able to hunger for food and thirst for water, he had the ability to be weakened throughout the day like anyone, we know from scripture that just like we are at times he even was tempted by satan, but he overcame those things.

We Can Too.

In Conclusion:

Christ said that this world would cause us heartache, pain and much worse than we could ever imagine, he said we would suffer for HIS names sake’ but he also said the not be afraid of these things because he has overcome the world.

If we truly believe that In Jesus we can find solace, Salvation, hope, peace, love and joy, then we will truly believe with everything in us that no matter how bad something is or how bad we are getting so awfully tempted and tortured by satan, we CAN overcome that because

‘Greater is HE that is in ME then he that is in the world’.

I know many Christians don’t like to celebrate Easter or they think it is this demonic holiday or whatever and I know it’s true many of the holidays Christians celebrate are indeed of a demonic nature and you’re right ‘what’s bunny’s and eggs have to do with the resurrection of Christ?

Nothing really, not that I can think of, but I can’t think that it’s that bad or even bad at all, because I have the same thing to say about this as I did for Christmas.

Sure, it has a pagan origin, but you’ll not be able to make me believe that anyone in this world can tell you what origin that is, or that most people will even associate it with pagan unless it’s some atheist that is angry at God or some Christian that want’s to live completely under restriction from everything.

Because most people now recognize Christmas for the birth of Christ even though it isn’t and they recognize Easter for his Resurrection.

THAT is great.

Until next time friends, Happy Easter.

TRUST

Apr
02

Hello again friends far away and in between, what brought thee to me this fine day, have a sit and hear what I would like to say.

trust

Well it’s obvious what I wish to discuss in today’s post the title of it kinda gave me idea’s away, but there is still much to be said on the subject (look at me, I’ve only said a few sentences and I act as if I have been talking for ages) let’s get started then, shall we?

I find that in today’s day and time – Trust is something that appears to be missing from our every ordinary day, in our every ordinary life – we just don’t up and trust strangers anymore like we used to which is  rather interesting considering that the crime rate isn’t as high as it was in the 90’s as matter of fact studies show it’s about the same rate that it was in the 60’s now that’s something.

So why is it that we still find a hard time to trust others, what can we possibly do to change this? Stop lying every single breath that we so lightly take perhaps? Or what if we just try being honest and true for a change, how about that, do you think that would really make a big difference on our society?

Possibly:

But it’s going to take more then just that, we have to actually mean our honesty, we have to actually mean our genuineness, because it so happens that people tend to notice if one is not really being truly honest with them – people have gotten smarter and even a whole lot less gullible, they just aren’t going to believe anything anymore without proof and it’s not that unreasonable.

If you think about, it’s very realistic at the most because so many of us have been lied to, burned, beaten down, taken advantage of and used simply because of our trust that there just so happens to be no trust left in us, and it’s rather sad actually because for a society to continue trust must abide in it.

Don’t Forget The Ice:

Let me tell you a little story where I actually experienced true trust in a person at a local grocery store, it was sometime in the summer of 2013 – my grandparents had just left the store and I had just got off the phone with them prior to that and they called and said that they were coming home, well when they got home they quickly realized that they had forgotten the ice.

Now they had paid for two bags of ice and we needed it, they were too tired to go back home so they sent me and my uncle to go back with the receipt to get the ice and to get a few other items as well – to tell you the truth I honestly didn’t think that anyone would be willing to believe me when I told them that my grandparents had forgotten the ice, but it was worth a try anyways.

When we arrived to the store I went up to the manager who’s name is ‘Reba’ which I always her about because it’s the name of one of my favorite country singers (Reba McEntire) I told her that not long ago my grandparents left the store having purchased two bags of ice yet forgetting them and walking out, I showed her the receipt and asked if we could get it from the freezer now and to my surprise she actually believed me.

I mean I know that I wasn’t lying but she had no way whatsoever to know other then she must have read me and truly trusted within her heart that I was genuine or perhaps she thought that it was only ice and it didn’t really matter, that could be the case but Texans are nice they aren’t too gullible though – so I believe she actually trusted the story and that was encouraging.

Trust is like a breath of fresh air in today’s society and even more so the TrustWorthy.

In Conclusion:

Not everyone is unwilling to trust those that they don’t know and at the same time, not everyone we don’t know is completely worthy of our trust – that is something that only we can determine by actually ‘judging’ that person but even though scripture tells us that we can indeed ‘judge’ I honestly don’t even believe that is what most of us even do, so to use a less aggressive word It’s more of a discerning nature to understand whether or not that person is one that deserves trust.

Judging with our Spiritual Instinct – rather than by ones Appearance.

I for one only have a very small list of people in this entire world (which includes my small intermediate family) that I know I can completely trust in whatever circumstance that may arrive.

It’s not a lot, but considering 6 of them are outside of my family 6 that I consider to be good friends and I can’t really mention that number again or else we’ll have something bad in this blog post which might cause controversy and it wouldn’t of even been intentional.

So without further ado, what I hope to have left you with is what I always hope to leave the readers with, a lot to think about, stuff to just ponder on and I understand that many have so much to think of in their life but I believe thinking about other’s aside from our own problems, in a way, helps us deal better with ours.

Until next time – though I don’t know I even made a lot of sense.

Have some cheeseburgers, with crispy french fries and a chocolate or vanilla shake or both who cares, right? I’m Nathan Tune, signing off.
