The title says it all! Listen up closely because I believe with everything in me that I’ve got a pretty good message for all of you today. I’d like to talk about our freedom. Think about it for a moment…. While thinking about it, don’t forget to start ‘thanking’ those who gave of themselves – because all gave some and some gave ALL.
It’s something that we don’t do enough: take the time to remember our veterans. How can we forget them? Where would we be without those who gave us all? Without them, we’d have no freedom because they shed their blood so that we might live safely here every day. Think of the mothers who lost sons, brothers who lost brothers, sisters who lost brothers, dad’s who lost their sons. Children who lost parents – the list can go on and on and on.
Why is it that they take on one of the hardest jobs that there is and when they come home – if they make it home – many times they are ridiculed and shamed for their being here. What did they do wrong? I don’t get how anyone can look at a veteran in disrespect – unless, of course, that person is just wicked… but other than that. If they haven’t bothered anyone and are just minding their own business being upstanding citizens, how on earth could someone look down upon them?
People do, I don’t know how I could they could – but they do. It is absolutely terrible!! How could we allow our veterans to be homeless on the streets? How could we leave them out there when they gave of themselves to keep us safe on a day-to-day basis? I know that there are some who just have that about them that want to live that way, but not all of them are like that. They fight so that we might be able to live safely, and protected here in our homes. They don’t know us at all, but they protect us every day, and if they die giving all they have, their name is never mentioned. If they make it back home when they need someone to give them something back, it seems that there is no one to be there.
Let’s talk Jesus
He gave all now didn’t he? Oh, yes he did! He died for our sins. His blood was shed so that we might be set free. Yet we don’t always remember him either, now do we? I know many people can stray from him. When all is just right they don’t tend to think of him. But when something is wrong, they are pleading for him to save them. It’s not the way it’s supposed to be but sometimes that’s just how people are. They have to hit rock bottom before they will remember Christ.
This is a song I heard quite sometime ago, and finally I decided to do a cover of it! It’s a Billy Ray Cyrus song and it’s just beautiful! I’ve loved it since I first time I heard and I don’t know if any of y’all have heard it before but if so I do hope you enjoy my cover!!
THANK A VETERAN TODAY!
It’s that simple. They do deserve that from each of us. Just take the time to thank a veteran, in anyway that you can, because I’m certain that there are many ways to do so. Either by words or by action, if you know of some veterans do something nice and thank them in anyway you can. And remember, all gave some…
SOME GAVE ALL….
God bless y’all!
