Not Of This World…

Welcome back to my little heavenly abode my friends, brothers, sisters, webanites, foe and all other alien life forms alike, I would just like to wish you all a blessed day whatever time it is wherever you may be in this world.

not-of-this-world-graspI would like to talk about something that I am most known for when it comes to discussing this topic, often I can be ridiculed for standing up for my faith, whether that comes from people that ‘claim’ to believe like me or people that are your everyday net trolls it doesn’t make any difference, opposition is opposition, however I have learned to be more strong and courageous while making do with whatever is thrown my way, and I believe that this is what we all need to be doing more often.

So many times today in the pulpits ‘ministers’ are trying to make this amusement park out of the church, adding bowling alleys, basketball courts, ice hockey, tv rooms, all to keep your kids happy anything to keep people coming so the ‘Pastors’ can keep getting their tithes, and while I am not against having some type of activity for the youth I think if you have all of that in a church then sometimes a pastor might want and ask himself if those people are really coming for Christ or not.

Isn’t it a shame that so many lost people out there might think they are coming to Christ and they might really love God in their hearts, and they probably even have a great desire to learn about what his will really is but because of preachers like these they are often led down a path that will eventually put them straight in the pits of hell and for the most part it isn’t even their fault, all we can do is pray that God open their eyes sooner then later, because I believe it would be awful for anyone to go to hell.

Especially when they think they are doing God’s work…

Speak Out:

When in reality they are really following mans fleshly desires rather than God’s holy missions of greatness and his will of all mankind, but isn’t there something that we as Christians could do for these ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters’ of the Church of Christ? Well yes there is actually, we could quit standing around like a bunch of juniors with our phones in our hands recording a bully torment a smaller student and we could try and help the smaller student with what is known as inevitable truth, you see the old saying goes for all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to stay back and do nothing. (Not exactly a full on quote but it’s close enough.)

We need to be bold for our fellow man, we need to have a Christ like love and I’ve mentioned this many times in the past but love doesn’t mean that you try every way possible not to hurt a persons feelings, love means you are willing to stand out and stand loud, love means that you are willing to do whatever necessary to make that friend of yours listen. Love means that even if you know the truth might hurt your friend you will tell it to them anyways because you love them, because you want to be completely honest with them no matter what, and that my dear friends is how you stand out in this world, that is how you speak out, in love.

In Conclusion:

Scripture tells us this and this is one of my favorite verses when it comes to the discussion about whether or not Christians should be of this world:

  • And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. – Romans 12:2 KJV

Separation from the world means doing the unthinkable, believing the impossible, living the most abnormal life and serving the most high God, Jesus Christ, living in this world while not being a part of it can sometimes be hard for us but at the same time if we truly believe that the bible is true we know that we were never meant to be a part of THIS world anyways, this earth yes, but this world as it is, I don’t believe that was God’s full plan, but we as man made it corrupt.

Thankfully God made a plan of salvation for us which goes by way of the cross, and I have seen countless times where many people crucify those who promote the cross but to me that is sheer foolishness, we as Christians in any way do not promote or worship the cross, yes it was a sign of pain and agonizing death for Christ, but without that cross, without what he did on that cross we wouldn’t have the ability to make things right with him.

The bible tells us that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to this sinful world, but to us it is hope and strength, an anchor for us in our most troubling storms, while living in this world is not easy and not being a part of it can be even harder at times, we must continue on fighting the good fight of faith, because it’ll be worth it after all..

Until next time…

SHALOM –
