Blank

Do you ever get those days where your mind just goes completely blank? You have so much to do and it seems that you cannot quite get a hold of all the things you need to get done, your mind has went completely blank. I have days like that when writing for this blog, it isn’t an easy thing maintaining just the right amount of encouragement and truth to everyone each day.

As matter of fact, it takes quite a bit of work, more than some may know. So the purpose of today’s post is just to talk about whatever may come to my head while writing it, you see, many people may not think that doing this ‘blogging thing’ is any work at all and actually there is some who might think it’s being completely lazy. However, it does take a lot of hard work, concentration, time, effort, creativity and even a little bit of your spirit as well, a good writer will put their heart, mind and soul into their writings and they will go the extra mile to keep their readers interested, I would like to think that I am a good writer. But who knows right? We can’t all be perfect, and that by no means is what I am looking for, all I hope to do is spread a little truth and encouragement with you each day that I breath.

Now, today’s post being that it’s coming right out of thin air will likely be shorter than all my other posts (though I say that pretty much all the time when writing) I have thought of a story to tell you that I believe I haven’t told yet, I’ve shared this with close friends that I know but I’ve not publicly shared it with everyone, it isn’t bad or anything, quite frankly I wouldn’t call it anything less of a miracle.

Bring On The Rain –

It was a hot summers day in South East Missouri (where I practically grew up) I must of been 9 or 10 years old at the time, putting that at about the year 2000 something. We didn’t have much money back then, and would usually get a blow up pool to play in to help us cool off in the summer, but we did not have one at this time, it was so hot outside and I decided to go sit on our swing sit and start to swing back and forth hoping the breeze from that would cool me off. I began to look up to the heavens and I started praying aloud, (paraphrasing here)

“Oh God, please make it rain right above me, please oh God I need the rain Jesus, it is so hot.”

I forgot to mention that on this hot day, there was not a single spec of a cloud in the sky, not one spec I tell you. I continued to pray silently to myself while swinging back and forth on the swing-set and before I knew it I felt a little drop of water on my head, I quickly thought to myself “Well that is odd.” (After I had just prayed for a miracle, so odd that it would happen, so typical of me.) I thought at first that it was only my imagination so I wrote it off. Then I felt another drop, and another, and another! Before I knew it, it was sprinkling down on top of me pretty heavy, and that isn’t the only thing, it was ONLY on top of me. Not a single cloud either, it was a true miracle from God, it was the most amazing thing I have experienced and I have still not forgotten to this day.

In Conclusion:

People can think I am crazy, and that is fine, I have also seen angels too, they were with me one time when I was with my mom up in Northern Missouri when she had taken me away to be with that man, there were angels there looking after us and I thank God for them because I know if it weren’t for the prayers of my grandparents and my great grandma, God, and those angels, I would not be here today to testify to you that on a hot summer day in Missouri, God answered a 10 year old boy’s prayer for rain.

Sometimes a little rain is a very good thing, (now I’m speaking of a more spiritual rain, of tragedy and heartbreak.) Sometimes we need to be drenched in that type of rain to help us make it through another day, to nourish our souls and to give us the strength to keep moving on no matter what. A little rain never hurt anyone, and a little rain that day I really needed it, really helped me, and it is still something that I cling on to when it seems nothing is going my way, because I know. Even if things aren’t going my way, they most certainly are going HIS way, because I have given him control over my life and I pray for his will and his will alone, daily.

Thank you for reading today’s post, I hope it has blessed you in some small way, if you can make sense of it let me know and I’ll get back to you on that, have a great day, night, afternoon, whatever.

SHALOM –
