A New Dawning

It’s a new day, it’s a new beginning, it’s another week and here we are so very lucky to still be at the very early point of this New Year, 201720” being ‘Redemption’ (Biblically) and “17” meaning “Victory”

Anything that happened in the year 2016 that we wish to forget, we CAN forget, we CAN move away from, we CAN walk away from. 2016 was not the end, 2017 is just the beginning. The bible tells us that through Christ, we CAN.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

And not only that, it tells us that through HIM we also have strength. Let me first start this post off by saying this: I just feel led to say this. If you feel you have no hope left, if you feel you have lost your way, if you feel you cannot be saved from this road of destruction and turmoil that you are on. Let me just tell you this, you are wrong. The devil and some people would make you think it’s so hard to be saved, but that’s not true. The scripture says:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 (KJV)

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:10 (KJV)

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 10:11 (KJV)

The scripture tells us to repent, (which means to make reconciliation with God) ask him for forgiveness and turn – WALK away from the things of the past.  The scripture tells us that:

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 (KJV)

If you know in your heart that the word of God is true and pure and perfect, then you must know that his word does not turn void. It is established and it is irrefutable. People may try and discredit it all that they can, but if you have just experienced a miracle in your life or in your spirit or in your day at all. Then you know, you know that he will not lead you wrong. You may not truly believe it in your mind, but in your spirit you know. The scripture tells us that the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Sometimes we let ourselves be consumed with worries and fears and even a little ‘regret’ now and then. But be not dismayed for he is with you, he is leading you and guiding you as we speak and he has carried you through many dangers, toils and snares, you have already come! (As the good old hymnal goes)

Amazing Grace:

How SWEET the SOUND. His Grace IS Sufficient! Now – when you take that very first step and you start serving God you will find many challenges arise. Because the devil don’t bother what he already has, but he will do his hardest to try and get back what God has just taken away. But woah, woah woah! Just hold up there devil, God did not take one thing away from you. He took BACK what you stole from HIM! Hallelujah! Dearly beloved brothers and sisters don’t you think for one second that the devil owns you, because you are God’s now. You have ALWAYS belonged to God, you just lost your way. But now you have found your way back and you are now no longer bound to sin! It no longer has dominion over you! (Romans 6:2, 9) The bible tells us that we are free, we are FREE…

FREE INDEED:

So before we go any further, let’s recap –

  His Grace Is Sufficient!

We Belong To HIM!

We Are FREE!

Sometimes it’s hard to let go of the past, it’s hard to move on. We want to hold on to the life we had, we wanna stay where we felt comfortable. A familiar place where everything went right (or at least appeared to go right) a place in which we find solace. But if we look in the bible we can find that Jesus never stayed in one place more then a few days. He was constantly moving, he would go and preach to the people of each town and they would either LOVE him or HATE him. They would either accept him or refuse him. Now most of us aren’t meant to stay in one place or one situation for too long. There are times in which he has greater plans for us. We may not know why or how we ended up where we are today. We may not understand why it is so hard. We may wonder why it is that things can’t just work out for us, or why we can’t just ‘fit in‘ somewhere.

But we must understand one thing, this world is not our home. We need not get too comfortable. We aren’t meant to LIVE here, we are meant to occupy until he comes. Jesus told us to ‘occupy’ until he comes. (Luke 19:13) We’re all Strangers Here traveling through this world of woe. If we truly put our trust in him, if we truly trust in him at all times and pour out our hearts before him and trust that he is our refuge (Psalms 62:8) then we know that we walk where he would have us to walk and if we aren’t too sure then we must seek him deeper and deeper until we know for sure that we are walking in his will and his truth. And if we are. If we know that we are. We know that all things work together for good to them that love God and to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

In Conclusion:

So let’s STOP. Let’s stop torturing ourselves with the questions that I know many of you must be all too familiar with. It is in our human nature to question what could of been, what should of been. What IF? IF only, ‘IF I would had just done this differently – IF I would have done something else. Could of I? Should Of I?’ No, no no! You are looking at this situation completely wrong my friend. Listen to me very closely, please. You are a child of the living God whom hath given you new life and with new life comes new adventure, new adversities and new places to go. He is guiding you and leading you. Do not look back, do not think back on what could of been or what may. Do not think upon these things because it will only cause you to grow regretful and bitter and your emotions will take over and when we let emotion take over we lose sight of the Kingdom.

The bible tells us to take no thought for our life what we should wear or what we should eat (Matthew 6:25) For the fowls of the air sow and reap not, yet our Father in heaven feeds them. Are we not better than they are? (Matthew 6:26) It goes on to tell us that our heavenly Father knows that we have ‘need’ of these things. But for us to seek first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto us. (Matthew 6:32-33)

We could sit and drive ourselves crazy about what could have been or should of been. But we must not be deceived for he is faithful and he will deliver (2 Thessalonians 3:3) and we are going exactly where he wants us to go. All of the people that you’ve lost touch with along the way, don’t be bitter towards them or angry that they are no longer in your life. God moved them out of your life and put you out of theirs for a reason. You aren’t going the same way that they are going and he has greater plans for us than we could ever even begin to imagine. So… Until next time my friends, May God bless you and keep you, May God make his face shine upon you, May he lift his countenance upon you and may he give you…
