This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. – Psalms 118:24 (KJV)

Jesus Loves You!

The definition of ‘love‘ is something that can have many meanings, but the greatest way to describe love has to be the love that Jesus Christ has given us even before we were even born.

Think about it for just one moment: he loved us before we loved him.

But how? Because he died for me and you on the cross. He gave his life for our sins so that we might be saved. Is there not any greater love than that?

Scripture Verses On Loving The Children:

Matthew 19:13-14 K.J.V.

Here, what Christ is saying is that they brought the little children unto Jesus and that he blessed them and he prayed for them. In today’s day and time, you are the future; you hold so much power in your hands. I’m sure you don’t understand it but you do.

Mark 10:14 K.J.V.

The same thing was said through these scriptures as well, that we are to bring the children unto him because he loves the little children –  all of the little children of this world. No matter what you may look like, sound like – even how you may act at times he still loves you – we may all make mistakes sometimes. We can forget things and that’s just part of our nature. But as long as we learn from those mistakes and try our best to keep from making them again, we will be ok because he loves us and will forgive.

How Can We Love Jesus?

1. Dedication.

2. Faith.

3. Joy.

4. Grace.

5. Forgiveness

These things I’ve listed are very important for multiple reasons, these are just my ways of how we can love Jesus and they are only just a couple of ways there are many more ways we can love him. So explain to me what are some ways you can think of?

Dedication through what? How can we dedicate ourselves and what for Jesus can we dedicate ourselves too?

What kind of faith? True faith, true faith to show Jesus that we love him and trust him to lead us no matter what we are going through.

People tend to forget that the scriptures tell us the Joy of the lord is our strength. So how can we love him with Joy? By allowing him to fill our hearts with great love and joy from deep within and nothing can take that away from us because it is rooted so deep we are eternally joyful in Jesus. When we have Joy, that shows we love Jesus.

That we are gracious and graceful in everything we do. Jesus has been very gracious toward us, by loving us so that he died on the cross so why not be gracious in our daily lives and towards him to show we love Jesus?

The most important way for us to love Jesus, the bible says, is that we cannot be forgiven unless we can forgive. There is a phrase used often by this motivational speaker and it goes like this love is for giving love is forgiving.

“Love Others! Share His Love!”

Last time, we discussed what it meant to BE A WITNESS. Well, for the conclusion of our lesson this week let us review what we’ve learned about Christ’s love for us and then lets ask ourself a question:

If Jesus loves me, and I love him with all my heart, then why not share his love with others?

But How Can We Share His Love?

1. Dedication

2. Faith

3. Joy

4. Grace

5. Forgiveness

Because by doing these same things you do to show your love for Jesus you can also show others his love – by dedication to a friend, by having faith and believing in someone when no one else will, by expressing true joy and being happy for someone that deserves to be happy and blessed, by showing grace to those less fortunate than us. And by forgiving those who have caused us harm.

God bless y’all!

Let Us Pray…

Now, I know I haven’t mentioned much about mine and my best buddy’s daily prayer lately that is because most of the time since we ended the 30th day back in January, we haven’t been able to keep a straight row – like even just 3 days in a row. For the longest time, we haven’t been able to do so. I gave y’all an update on that part a while back with his input, too.

But just recently – THANK GOD! – since the 21st of March, we have been keeping our daily prayers and if we make it tonight that will be our 7th day! Another whole week of prayer together that we haven’t got to have in a long time! I am so happy (as is Cameron) that we’ve been able to do this. I know with each others’ different schedules, it can get very tricky to keep a daily prayer together.

We’re both far apart from each other, don’t have nearly at all the same schedules and sometimes he doesn’t even get home until 8:30 – 9:00 which I can understand (his dad is a TaeKwonDo Martial Arts Instructor and I know he helps him with classes which can run a little late sometimes).

Lately, we haven’t been able to make prayer until 10:00 or 10:30 pm. The time is no longer a problem for us. For me, as long as we can make it before midnight, I am ok with it. I do like getting the prayers in at 7 pm because of my sleeping habits had changed and also I don’t have to sit outside in my truck, but sometimes I have to anyhow because the signal in the woods is like… the (non!) signal in the woods!!  HAHAHA!

Now, we have been going good and then it’s not the time that is gonna be preventing us from calling each night to pray, NO! Now it is another problem… He’s limited on minutes. Well, my grandma suggested we could Skype… NO PROBLEM! Well.. We both gave it a shot but it was either me who couldn’t stay online or him who couldn’t.

Well, our prayers were starting to run about 40-50 minutes all together but now with his limited minutes until they roll on back over again we have got to watch ourselves very carefully we don’t want to run over his minutes!!! But we know one thing for sure is that God will take care of it all! He’s given us each opportunity to pray with each other and we too have continued to keep moving forward.

There were times when we both got discouraged and wanted to quit trying to make each day all together. Then we thought well maybe not. What if we just draw it back to once a week together? Well, we decided to just keep making each day and do the best that we can.

We are very grateful for yesterday’s 6th night of prayer and we are hoping to make tonight’s 7th night! Either way, though, if we make it or not, we are thankful for what he’s given us and we will just move right along and start back up the next day – no matter what. That’s what perseverance is! Something we all need to try our best to have and most especially when it comes to serving the Lord!

Words For My Best Buddy and All of Ya’ll!

I am so proud of how far my best buddy has come. He is a real kind, caring, and considerate guy who has a real love for God and a real desire in his heart and it’s more then a blessing to have him as a friend and a great joy getting to pray with him each night.

I pray God continue to help him with his journey and walk he has been on and that he always stays true to the word no matter what happens in life.

I pray the same for each and every single one of you! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

I also ask that you pray for us so my best buddy and I can make our 7th night tonight! AMEN!

God bless y’all!

Weekly Blog Post: Saturday!

It’s weird not getting a daily blog post from me, isn’t it? Well, I know it’s weird not writing one anymore! But with schedules sometimes it’s hard to keep that up and it is a less stressful trying to figure out what I’m going to write.

Now, I have much more time to think out a real good post for y’all! This is the second new blogging arrangement where I will post my second post throughout the week every Saturday! If my mom decides to blog for you on this coming Sunday she can, as it is reserved for guest posts. I have been busy with taking care of that Sunday school class, just helping out where I can and giving a lesson and singing a song is all. I have them memorizing bible verses and they did pretty good with remembering the one this past Sunday!! I am not going to be there this coming Sunday; I’ll be visiting another church, so they have two weeks maybe even three to memorize the scripture verse I gave them this past church service to remember and that is in 1 John 4:7 K.J.V. It is a little bit longer scripture but since I’ll be gone they have at least two weeks to memorize. My family and I don’t sit in churches. We don’t become members of a certain building. We just go where we feel God places us at any given time. We tarry there until we feel our presence is no longer needed. I enjoy so much helping with the Sunday school, though. It isn’t mine, though. I believe it has been God preparing me for this work with the youth.

That’s the biggest reason I’ve degraded my blog posts so much! Life get’s busy. With what happens every day you never know what might take place so it gets harder and harder to be able to write something for each day of the week. But it doesn’t mean we should quit – no matter what it is – even if it is writing a blog. Helping someone, giving of yourself, singing, anything. Praying, whatever it is, just because life can make it harder for us to continue with those things we should never just up and quit completely. The memory verse for my first Sunday school lesson was Colossians 3:23 K.J.V. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men. Whatever we may do, do it heartily as to the LORD!!! We gotta keep on with it, be strong, and never give up! He will honor our effort and it will be greatly rewarded! My best buddy and I have been having difficulties with our prayers as well because of schedule conflicts, almost considering quitting praying together everyday. But we talked it out and decided we won’t, as long as him and I can both make it before midnight then I’m fine with it because then we can make it! Nothing is impossible and we shouldn’t ever let anything keep us from doing such things – especially when they glorify God!  and most especially when it is prayer!! I know God will honor what we our doing. I know it is blessed. I know he is doing and has done a great work already because of it. I’ve seen it right before my eyes in my best friend and brother in Christ and also in myself. It’s absolutely amazing!

God bless y’all! Sincerely,

New Blogging Arrangements!

If you noticed, a while back I had posted on my Facebook page and Twitter that I won’t be blogging daily anymore due to how busy things can sometimes get and I’m also trying to prepare for the new season of James Fickle!

That will be premiering on April 23rd – June 25th which is all Tuesday’s as it was usually. I hate it when a lot of times your favorite TV show gets changed from Tuesday nights to Wednesday nights it’s like day light savings time – it’s a lot to get used to! So, I will be doing my best to keep the James Fickle show on a Tuesday unless I just can’t anymore. Either way though that is something that will continue as long as I am alive! It is something great and much great comes out of it, don’t you think!?

Been good not having to worry about what I’m gonna have to be blogging about each day, but at the same time I know that those who do read my blog have missed the encouragement I try to bring in my posts. Life can be a handful sometimes but the way you look at it and perceive it is what matters the most because you can’t let all the  little things get to you, I know it may be easier said than done because so many things can upset us but we have got to try our best and look for the brighter side because even though we may not be able to see it at the time it is most certainly there.

Here Comes The Sun!

I like the phrase that even though you can’t see the sun when it’s raining, once the rain has stopped the sun comes out and you realize that it has been there all along! And that’s just the way life is; no matter how bad the day may seem or what we are going through and struggling with when we think about it just for a little bit and take that time to really focus, we will then see that what we are facing isn’t really as bad as we thought and we aren’t really in that much of a dark time because the sun is still shining though we can’t see it now it is there!

I know sometimes when we are going through a hard time in our life, we feel that God has left us but we need not to forget that he is the one who has gone before us and walked the path we are walking right now, he has everything under control and he is taking care of business! We may not be able to see the miracle he is working in our life at this time but if we look up soon enough we’ll see those clouds part and the sun be shining brightly before our eyes!

I hope you enjoyed reading today’s blog post.

This is the new blogging arrangements:

I will blog every Wednesday and Saturday so that is twice a week. Sunday will be reserved for guest blog post, so if my mom wishes to write something for y’all that day you may get something from her.

God bless y’all!

Blogging Less Often

Posting every single day has become a little too much. I will be blogging about three times a week. With so many outdoor activities and other duties I have, it is time to cut back a little on the blog. I will still be updating and adding new songs and all sorts of exciting things. I’m still praying with my best friend almost every night and God is still blessing.

I’m just working to find a way to balance all of these exciting things the Lord has placed in my path!

I pray you enjoy your day!

Why Neglect God?

First let’s look at the definition of the word ‘neglect

“To fail to carry out an expected or required action through carelessness or by intention.”

neglected bible

How are some ways that you might neglect God?

1. Neglecting your bible because of another activity.

2. Video games, perhaps other activities can keep you from spending time with God.

3. Daily life…

What are some ways to not neglect God?

1. Daily Prayer.

2. Just talking to him throughout the day.

3. Studying his word.

Let’s look at what God’s word has to say about

Ecclesiastes 9:10 K.J.V.

Whatever we may be doing we are to do these things with everything in us; even if it is just a small chore. Because whatever it is that we do is something BIG in the eyes of God.

Luke 9:62 K.J.V.

What Jesus is saying is that we shouldn’t start something and then look back on what we’ve started instead we must see these things to completion whether it be a job, a chore, your word given to someone or another form of commitment Christ told us that those who look back are not fit for the kingdom of God.

We’re only Human.

People often retaliate with the phrase “I’m only HUMAN” and that may be so, but think of it as this we may be humans that cannot be entirely perfect but using this excuse should only be used to an extent.

Like keeping your word to someone, in this day and time sometimes finding someone to keep their word is like trying to find a needle in a haystack and their most common response is the same old statement that “We’re only Human”

Scripture Verse About Keeping Your Word.

1 John 2:5 K.J.V.

Consequences of Neglecting God’s Word

Scripture Verses:

1 Timothy 2:4 K.J.V.

God’s greatest desire is that all of mankind become saved and are brought to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Timothy 2:15 K.J.V.

By neglecting to study his word we are not only doing harm to our Father in heaven but also to ourselves.

Because without his knowledge we will be damaged and we will soon forget God and the scriptures tell us when we reject knowledge he will also reject us.

Hosea 4:6 K.J.V.

Overcoming Negligence

Fun ways to dive into God’s word so that we don’t stray from the teachings of his knowledge and truth!

1. Pray each night you can.

2. Lend a helping hand.

3. Share his word with others.

4. Just talk to him.

5. Learn his word.

Most importantly though let us not neglect the greatest job as a Christian there is for us to do!

Neglecting this job may cause us to lose souls to the kingdom of God.

Scripture verse to study throughout the week and memorize:

Colossians 3:23 K.J.V.

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”

God bless y’all!

Fire! Fire!

This is Nathan’s mom again. He is unable to post this morning – for the same reason he shared yesterday. So I am here to share the amazing experience Nathan and I had last night. It’s about…

The Holy Ghost Fire!

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: (Luke 3:16 KJV)

It feels awesome to be on fire for God, being in his will, and being out and about doing his business! Amen?!

Last night, Nathan and I visited a little church down the road from my house. Since the first time I passed it (right after I first moved to Texas), I knew there was something special about it.

A little time passed and then one day a lady came in to the post office (where I work) and we instantly felt a connection – we are both sisters in the Lord! Amen! As we talked, we took turns testifying and encouraging one another. I discovered she went to church at that very little building down the road from my house. Isn’t it amazing how God works in our lives? You know how life is: I got busy and time passed by.

I was talking to my Pastor in Missouri and mentioned I had been planning on visiting this church and that. Her response was “Stop making excuses – the time is now!” Yes, she’s right. The time is now, people!

And I’m SO glad I took heed to her instruction.

Yesterday morning, my son asked if I was going to visit that little church. Oh boy. I had a bad headache and my back was killing me. I am still weak from my trip to the ER over a severe sinus infection that got out of control (because I wouldn’t slow down and take care of myself!) and all I could think about was getting home and just laying down and resting so I could get some strength. I let him know that I felt really bad and that I’d see how I felt later. And then I truly felt the burning desire to go to that church – so I told that headache and backache they’d just have to move over and get out of my way! 😉

When I got off of work, I had the strength to clean my wood floors, wash my dishes, do laundry, clean and organize – and more!

And when it was church time, my son and I were there.

Shut Up In My Bones!

Have you ever heard that old song: “It’s like fire shut up in my bones”?

Oh, are we ever glad we visited this little church! We spent time on our knees at an old-fashioned altar. We spent time testifying and enjoying others’ testimonies. We enjoyed the anointed singing, music, and preaching – oh my! The Pastor taught an amazing Bible study. He read THREE entire chapters – and it was lively and anointed!

The people there made us feel so welcome. What a blessing!

I haven’t felt the Holy Ghost fire that strong in a church in years. God is SO good!

He is still alive and well, people! His Holy Ghost is still burning and moving and is there for the taking.

I thank God for bringing me to Texas, for bringing that sister in the Lord to the post office, for impressing us to visit that church last night, and for Nathan being so on fire for God. He is so dedicated and spends so much time reading the word and praying, encouraging, ministering, singing – and so much more.

And he is fixing to walk through Holy Ghost-filled, anointed, God-chosen doors.

Get ready, folks – the best is yet to come!!!

Have you been on your knees lately crying out to Jesus? If not, today is a great day to start!

Cry Out To JESUS!

Hello everyone! I am back today, writing on my blog again! It is getting somewhat difficult to keep up with these daily blog posts, but I am doing my best to do so! I also have to finish up my lesson for this coming Sunday class!

Fun, isn’t it? A very small class with young kids – but precious, they are. And I know God will bless with more soon all in his timing, I’m sure! On top of that, I am getting ready to record the first message for the second season of the James Fickle Show that will be premiering on April 23rd so it is coming soon! I will be doing a weekly broadcast of that so keep your eye out for it!

If you’d like to get your two disk copy of season one check out “The James Fickle Show Page” for details on that and may God bless you through your visit there.

Why I Didn’t Post Yesterday!

I know a lot of you were wondering why I didn’t write a blog post to you yesterday – so here is the reason why! I was up late and praying with my best friend, though we got to make 7:00pm that night we talked most of that and then he had to go then he got back and we still talked to each other then he had to go again so he couldn’t get back for awhile and then I wasn’t able to pray at the time which was around 9:30pm.

I came back in the house my grandpa had just went to bed and then I decided that we couldn’t miss tonight so I went outside and had him to call me and that was about 11:00 we prayed about 15 minutes each but talked 11 mins before that settling some things so I didn’t get in bed until midnight! I couldn’t get up early enough to write y’all something for yesterday.

Whoever you may be, whatever you may be going through there is no need to go through this struggle alone because all you have to do is just that. Lift your hands to Jesus; reach out and seek him to help you through these hard times. Pray that he will help you and he will. He has already gone before you and is there in your life he knows everything and everything is going according to his plan so you must just bid your time and say: “ok Lord… Have your way.”

I know that is one of the hardest things for us to do because we don’t like trials and tribulations. Nobody, does really! But think about this for just a moment: this trial could become a great blessing for you and though you may not see it at this time God will show it to you! You will see! He has a plan and a purpose for each of us, he knows how many hairs are on our heads so don’t you think he knows what he’s doing, just cry out to him and he will be there, hold his hand while he’s leading you and you’ll come out triumphal.

Because in Jesus there is hope for the helpless and rest for the weary! Amen and praise God, right!? And LOVE for the broken heart! He will heal your broken heart, he will nurse it back to health and he will hold it in his healing hands. There is grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing he’ll meet you wherever you are!

It doesn’t matter if you’re alone at your work office late one night, or if you’re at the gym by yourself, or in the car on the way home from work or a movie – Jesus will meet you wherever you are! He will be there with his arms stretched open wide just waiting for you to run to him for the healing you need so desperately bad.

“Third Day _Cry Out To Jesus_ Cover – Nathan Tune”

I hope you enjoy my cover of this song by the band Third Day! I loved this song every since I first heard it and actually, I found it at a time I really needed to hear it. My mom was just on the verge of coming back to us and then that fell through so I was really discouraged and that song came into my day somehow and it really blessed me so I hope that my cover can bless you. There is HOPE for the helpless! Believe you me!

God bless y’all!

God’s True Love – Do You Have It?

(This is Nathan’s mom posting today. He is unable to post. He will share details tomorrow…)

When Nathan asked me to post today for him, I prayed and asked God what he would have me share with you. And his answer brought me to 1 John chapter 4. I encourage you to read the whole chapter, but what I want to focus on today is verse 20:

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

This scripture has been a favorite of mine since I was a small child. When I was 12 years old, I delivered a message based on this scripture. As I walked back to my seat, some of the other kids mocked me and said “Oh, you think you’re “sanctified!” No, I didn’t think that. I just shared what God put on my heart.

I could see even then, at only 12 years old, that so many people (kids and adults) professed that they were Christians, and said they were full of the love of God – yet I didn’t see it. They hated others in a mighty way. God isn’t in that, people. I’m sorry, but that isn’t God at all.

Think about it for just a moment….

True Love

When you truly love someone – whether it be your parents, spouse, children, or friends – you will go to the ends of the earth for them, right? You will take care of them when you’re exhausted and maybe sick yourself. You will drive them for hours, wherever they need to go. You will be at every birthday and special occasion. You’ll spend your money, your time, your efforts, and any and all that you have to give. You show them love with all that is within you, correct? Because that is what true love is.

True love is sacrificing without asking questions. True love is surrendering your all.

How then, can you say you love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and body – yet you can’t stand your neighbor. You hate your cousin. You despise that annoying person you work with. You could certainly live without that one in-law. How?

Is the love of God truly in you? Think about it.

You go around professing that you’re a Christian, that you love God. But if you don’t love others, his scripture clearly says you don’t love him. He also just called you a liar. Did you read that?

He also tells us not to judge. We don’t have the right.

Judge not, that ye be not judged. Matthew 7:1

That judgment you’re passing around – it will come back to you. You’d better hope it doesn’t all come back at once. That would hurt.

You know, if we could just all remember that we are all God’s children. He loves us the same. When we come to the Lord, our hearts and lives belong to him.

I talk to Brother Ward‘s wife often. And this is something she recently told me:

“This isn’t our harvest. God has just hired us to work in it.”Sister Pat Ward

We aren’t working to build our own Kingdom, people – we are working to build God’s. And if we don’t have God’s love overflowing through us, we aren’t going to get very far along.

How much true love do you have for God and others? Do you spend yourself? Do you give of your time? You can’t buy your way in to heaven. And those people you can’t stand – they just might make it through those Pearly Gates. Don’t short-change yourself. Open your heart and ask God to let you see people through HIS eyes – and not your own. And besides, the other people in your life may not be the problem at all. It boils down to you being the base of every relationship equation in your life. What could YOU do to improve things? Ask God to forgive you for being judgmental. Ask him to make and mold you in to who HE would have you be. Be a shining light for his Kingdom!

Small Town Southern Man

Today my blog is titled this because of a very special person who was in both mine and my family’s life every since I was a little over a year old. The man I am going to talk about today has passed away and gone on to be with the Lord now, but we will take this blog post to remember a great man of God who was dedicated and committed.

I grew up with him around because I was not even two years old when my grandparents came into his life. My memory on certain things can’t recall all that well. I can remember them when mentioned but to have to bring up on my own I probably couldn’t. So what I am going to do is write a little bit about him and the type of person I remember him being and then I’ve asked my mom to write a little bit more about him. He was a genuine, true, small town southern man who bowed his head to Jesus and stood for what was right. He did believe that your greatest contribution is the one you leave behind.

His name is Brother Thurman Ward.

He’d be up all hours of the night and wee hours of the morning praying for people and he served God with all his might. Just recently, his wife and his daughter sent me some clothes. My mom had already given me his ties that his wife had given her but they sent me his dress shirt and his penny loafers. They came just in time for me to wear to church that following Sunday, yesterday. I went to two churches yesterday. It reminded me of something Brother Ward would do.

I went to a Southern Baptist church with my mom at 10am and then at 2pm we went to the Pentecostal church we’ve been going to for a couple times and not only did my Pastor’s clothes arrive in time for me to wear in the Sunday service but I also got to teach Sunday school in his dress shirt, tie and dress shoes as well! It was quite exciting for me and throughout the whole event I couldn’t help but think of him, especially with this being the scripture verse I chose to be the memory verse for everyone in class to memorize.

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men;”- Colossians 3:23 K.J.V.

That whatever we do we should do this heartily as to the Lord and not unto men! Amen! And I was reminded of how Bro. Ward did everything with all of his might to God, the best that he could. He walked the best and purest example of Christ he could in those penny loafers I was wearing today. It was a great experience talking to the children in Sunday school, and I know God loves each and everyone of them. I hope to see them all soon this coming Sunday!!!

My Mom’s Memories

I can’t say enough good things about Brother Ward. It would take a few books to cover what I learned from Brother Ward over the years. But to make a very long story short enough to fit in this post: Nathan was just a baby in diapers when God brought the Wards in to our lives. I remember the little country church and the first service we attended. Brother Ward was baptizing people in the creek down a gravel road after church.

Over the years, they became more than our Pastors, they were grandparents and friends – they became family. And I had the privilege of living on their property in a camper until Brother Ward passed away.

Many of you have heard Nathan talk about the pain it caused when I left. But you know, God turns all things to the good to those who love the Lord – and my family and I truly have always loved the Lord. My experience of being around Brother Ward up until his last days was such an honor. And although I was separated from my family and it was a very painful time in that sense, God used Brother and Sister Ward to guard and guide me, protect and pray with me and for me, to teach me and train me. They took me in to their home and fed me – both spiritually and physically – and loved me as if I were their own daughter. I will never forget it. Never.

I took the picture you see of Brother Ward eating watermelon. That was such a happy day. Brother Ward truly counted it a blessing, honor, and joy to serve God. He was never too tired or busy or in too much of a hurry to slow down and spend hours even witnessing for God. He lived and breathed to serve God and others.

There were countless times that I enjoyed house church with Brother and Sister Ward. One or both of them would preach and sing and we would have old-fashioned, Holy Ghost-filled prayer time on our knees right in their living room.

I’ll never, ever forget Brother Ward. His sacrifices were great. He was the watchman on the wall, always sacrificing sleep so he could pray for others. He was a man who fasted much – more than anyone I’ve ever known. His dedication was like no other I’ve ever met. His smile was infectious. He was a rare, priceless soldier in God’s army.

Brother Ward’s wife, Sister Pat Ward, and his daughter, Trisha Byrd, (thank you, beautiful ladies!) recently sent Nathan some of Brother Ward’s clothes and shoes. When I saw Nathan in Brother Ward’s clothes, it brought me to tears. Not only has God healed and restored my family – but here is Brother Ward’s clothes. He’s not here anymore but just look, he still has a part in helping my family. Isn’t that amazing?

And there’s Nathan, all grown up. (I am so very proud of you, Nathan – and Brother Ward would be, too!!!) I told him those shoes he’s wearing are mighty big shoes to fill – oh, but Brother Ward trained him well (and so have my parents). As I write this, I know Brother Ward is smiling from Heaven if he can see us. I know he’s overjoyed that  I am back with my family and I know we’ll see him again some day.

If only we can have even a smidgen as much dedication to God as he always did…

Back to Nathan

Even up until the day Brother Ward died, he was doing all he could heartily as to the Lord and not unto men. He was always proud of whatever it was that he had (and had a willingness to share it) and had a great desire in his heart to be a witness for others.

Alan Jackson _Small Town Southern Man_ Cover – Nathan Tune

I hope you enjoy the cover of my song about a “Small Town Southern Man”. This song was brought to my mind yesterday morning and I thought instantly of Brother Ward. I hope it will help you in some way.

God Bless y’all!
